Yea seriously that’s waste of money, I bet with all the money you spent on packs you could have bought all the uniques you ever wanted in said set. Unless you’re trying to finish a set or just find booster tearing fun then I see why you're buying so many.

Could all the characters with running shot in Critical Mass be related to the idea that they have had rule changes on their minds for quite a while. The first time I remember hearing rumors about possible rule changes was back in January I think. It sure looks like it since almost all the figs with move/attack in one action powers are uniques, and there are quite a lot of them. This actually bodes well for future sets and hopefully means we'll be seeing a lot better uniques with either charge, running shot, hypersonic or just multi-powered support pieces. Also, with the introduction of this set, Cyclops just became a nice commodity for a fig with running shot under 100pts. Hawkeye would too, except that he got robbed of a useful multi-shot.

Also, Marvel tends to have a lot more running shot than DC, who tends to have more hypersonic and charge. I guess it could have something to do with DC sets being 2 behind Marvel, so, they'll probably even it all out eventually. More characters with running shot is a good thing, however, as it allows you to have more options for your big offensive gun.

So, if we're getting the following uniques, all with running shot it should help balance out the tourney scene:
-Silver Surfer
-Terrax
-Captain Mar-vell
-Beta Ray Bill
-Warbird
-Nova? not sure
-Ronan? not sure

The inclusion of Dormammu, Morgan Le Fey and a cheap but powerful Adam Warlock should also all see some play for their appropriate abilities.

All in all, it looks like the sets, or at least the uniques, are taking a turn for the better. I even like the Hulk and am keeping my fingers crossed on Sersi.
I'm really liking the sculpts too, except for the poor comical-looking cosmic Captain.

With the exception of sealed booster tournaments, of course.

Not to pick a fight, but I'm sure you realize what would happen to them if SOD bases them and they don't break away, don't you? Most of these U's are pretty impressive, but I don't think I'd go throwing them up against SOD just yet.


Plus, until one of them gets X-Ray vision, E Batman will own all their candy @$$e$...... And before we say they are all the greatest thing since sliced bread, let's see what Quasar and Beta Ray do, hmm?

I came to the same conclusion you did about Meteorite. I hope she comes in right around 70...but with maybe more than 6 range (I guess the MoE TA is just too expensive).

Yeah, it's cool that there are finally some cheap, playable Avengers. Thor is cool, but he's expensive...

Yeah....kinda makes things difficult for a 300 pt Avenger tourney team. Wizkids needs to breed the Avengers like those X Men.

Dormammu 3 Damage for most of it. Damage never falling below 2. High attack dropping slowly. Is very Slow 8 move. Psychic Blast for 9 Kliqs. 11 Kliqs long. On the 3rd Kliq he gains outwit, Its not gonna be for 3 kliqs we know that much. Invuln for the first 4 kliqs and TOughness for the rest.

Warbird Starts with Running Shot then switches to Charge. Super Strength, Invuln, RCE with 3 damage.

Ronan ???? If I remember from the Germany guys. Running Shot 4 damage Impervious 150 point (around there)

Sersi ???? dont know.

Beta Ray Bill A slightly better Experience Thor.

Nova ???? Sculpt was said to be the best looking of the set.

Adam Warlock Cant Remember I beleive 80 some points. People complain about it. Outwit and TOughness. Lowest point Unique out of this set.

SOD Bases Dormummu. SOD goes to KO. LOL

Terrax Also Could win also, specially with BCF through the Whole dial (or at least most of it). Same with Surfer since I see both of them having better movement then SOD Sup's. Dont know if they can win but they could win. LOL

Terrax could, but he's got to roll high on those blades and hope that Supes doesn't miss the impervious roll. I think Surfer would get raped by him, though. If Supes makes that first imp. roll, Surfer is dead.
