Huh? This is news to me...I was under the impression you either use it before attack resolution which cancels the attack or you are SOL...did I miss something somewhere? 0_o
My apologies: I mis-typed my response. What I meant is: you can play Swift Escape as a RESPONSE to being stunned, but you'll still take all BEL and SEL.
This is because, as Erick explained MUCH better than my garbled attempt, SEL and BEL are not chainable.

E: Yes... I agree with you here, but I don't want to put it until someone from UDE confirms.
1) Exhaustion for reinforcement is the cost. Just as you cannot prvent a character from activating to generate an ability effect, you cannot prevent a character from exhausting to reinforce.
2) The new card FAQ tells us that a card like Ant-Man which annuls something takes precedence over all cards that allow that same something (ie: CANNOT takes precedence over CAN). So the act of reinforcement can be canceled by a Juggernaut, Blind Sided or Ant-Man. Your reinforcer remains exhausted but the reinforcement is vetoed.

Hmm... to get technical, I don't think you can play SE in response to being stunned during attack outcome. You can play SE in response to another effect like Fastball Special.
I say this because 'in response to' is chaining. So if I'm allowed to chain SE to the stun of my character... during the resolution of the chain, the character does not get stunned and I don't take stun damage.
CL1: Character gets stunned
CL2: Swift Escape
Resolve
CL2: Character goes to my hand
CL1: No more character to stun, thus no stun damage.
I think Kergy means that at the end of the Attack Resolution, you can play Swift Escape on the stunned character.
