Seems like you aren't really sure what the community wants. All I know is this site is called VSRealms.com. It is supposed to be the Premier VS. Community. Show some respect for the community and do what the guidelines ask for... post your stuff in the correct forums. Like some of the posters have commented, it's unfair that you guys can post whatever is on your mind at the moment and be left untouched because you are 'celebrities'. I've told Billy the same thing. If your content is really as eyeball grabbing as you claim it is... then won't it get noticed wherever it is?
And by the way... Biz is 100% correct on this... you can't argue with logic.
Yes, we are taking a more relaxed approach to moderating what goes on around here. It's the same old story, damned if you do, damned if you don't. First we get a load of critisism for being too harsh, so we take our foot off the gas and now we get it in the neck for being to lax. Generally speaking, if a thread is to do with VS, or the community - I'll let it run. If it's random crap, I'll generally move it to a more approriate forum.
I'd like to see a few more of people stop complaining about the lack of decent VS realted thread and start generating worthwhile discussion. Oh, and a few less hockey threads ;)
as of this post there are by my estimate only 2 actual "general discussion" threads in general discussion. there are about 11 threads that could go in AR, 3 rules threads, about 6 threads that need to go in premiere events area and about 3 threads dealing with rumors and speculation.
wow, thats seems to prove the point in my mind that there is way too much spam in GD. but it would also lead one to believe that stu and i are not the only ones who dont post in the appropriate forums.
why is it ok for vampireofchaos and ccggamerdotcom to post about there upcoming tournies in GD and not in the premiere section? they are obviously doing this to get more attention for their events. but when stu or foilball post something in GD knowing that more people will read it, then all of a sudden its wrong? thats pretty ####ed up.
you guys are all so full of #### sometimes. yes, our posts should be moved around. i dont dispute that. but you come in here and ##### about it yet you are also the ones who read every single thing stu or i post.
there are currently 28 users and over 2200 views on western front thread. stu had 42 morons subscribed to his unicorn thread. somebody is obviously reading and enjoying these threads. should they be wasting their time? prolly not. should you be allowed to speak for them? prolly not.
this is what it boils down to: 2-3 peeps are spamming and 2-3 peeps are #####ing about the spamming. and everyone else is laughing at us cus we are obviously morons. you guys really are blowing this way out of proportion.
i prolly wont stop spamming but i encourage any mod who feels i have misposted to go ahead and move my thread. i wont take it personally.
You know what. You make a very good point there Mr. Zonos. I generaly move a fair bit of stuff, but there is a lot that goes untouched. I guess we can take a more liberal approach to moderating the content of posts, but let's try and get the posts in the right place. If people want to read random #####ing or philosophical musings, they will go to Another Realm.

Amen, brother. Can I get a witness?

This thread has become Solid Gold. Especially with my own personal publicist Bizarro#98 doing a private history for me. Biz, I know how much work that takes. You do a bang-up job and I really appreciate it. My own little comic myth is almost cemented firmly, thanks bunches. As stubarnes becomes more and more a household character, as I continue to claim the powers of Two Face, Split Personality and Guy Gardner, Egomaniac together for my own, I will never forget to give you your due.
Okay Billy, we tone down now. It's 3:33 am where you live, you just signed off, and you better be asleep. It was fun while it lasted, thanks for the Puppet Master:
just to be clear since obviously most of your brain cells have been smoked away. i was not defending you, just your right to post. understand shortbus? good.

Count me in the laughing group.
Really I'm not bothered by the off topic threads. Those that don't interest me I just don't read.
My own take is that there are so many specific forums (rumors, events, deck garage, rules, strategy, recruitment, etc) that there isn't a lot left to talk about that fits in 'General Discussion' As foilball noted there really isn't much left that truly is just general VS talk.
I would say that things like the unicorn thread (not trying to single stu out - just the first thing I could think of) probably should be moved to the off topic section. I think though that the silly threads that are about the VS community do belong here though (like the various barn threads).
