I don't think Superman will be an option later if his team is selected.
Maybe, but unlikely for 2 reasons:
1) There are already lots of Superman cards, regardless of strength.
2) I'm sure UDE is already planning on putting him into the Infinite Crisis set.
3) He'd garner too much of the vote on recognition alone.
In that same vein, I don't think if the Gotham Knights win out that we'll see a Batman option.
I voted Team Superman. I'd kind of like to see a Batman. Dual affiliation would be ok but not necessary. You'd have to control Superman to recruit him. It would create the other half to the World's Finest relationship that the Superman on the Gotham Knights team has.
They have some real potential powerhouses just waiting for the right support structure to make them viable. They have received some love as of late, but sadly the Soldiers were used in an off-team deck strategy, and the rest of the Forever Clan sat by idly.
Originally posted by kairos10 I play Merlyn on 4. Ra's on 6 then is no problem.
Arkham has good characters. It could have better.
What I don't understand is why some people are treating this like we're actually designing a card that will matter.
All we do is pick an assortment of things that UDE provides to us. They tell us a few options, and we choose out of those. We have almost no say in what is going on with the cards, we just mix and match.
Arrite I don't know if you like playing merlyn over the starter deck 4 drop r'as, but I don't, and neither do many other league players, and I shouldn't be forced to just to run the better 6 drop (who isn't really all that good, just so you know)
We all know what's holding back arkham, it's their lack of search, and lack of good synergy., but LoA HAVE a good search, and they HAVE amazing PTs and Locations ( especially locations X D ), and the only thing holding them back, is a good character. If things work out, this one card can actually work out and make league top tier.

Is there a club of League players I wasn't invited to join?
Who are you talking about that doesn't play Merlyn?
I'll turn your statement around. Evey League player I know uses Merlyn, and Ra's is an unwelcome backup.
So now we're back to square one.
Ra's 6 is not a bad card. Why don't you like him?

Again, I don't expect ANYTHING that UDE gives us to be a major gamebreaker. They are going to give us a multiple choice of abilities and such. So they won't make anything amazing, because it would dwarf all other choices.
the Merlyn all location deck. This deck has powerful on initiative board control and should actually love Sensei, since if they protect Merlyn's counter into 6th turn he gives the chance to KO a character on drop.
Then there is new Ra's 4 drop. His deck could care less if a PT sneaks into the row, and is more based around breakthrough... this deck has a choice of either Sensei, or Merlyn at 6.
The merlyn deck can run Ra's at 6, but it's risky on two levels.
It may neuter Merlyn if he still has his counter.
and if you make it to 8, you just have to replace him.
Also, Ra's 7 isn't a bad guy either, as he bounces and saves you a little life, then you can play Ra's 8 without the guilt!
For those who are wondering - the process is going to be very interactive! Not every week will be run the same way, and you guys should look forward to new and different things!
I certainly wouldn't assume that this competition is being run the same as other games competitions - we have a unique game, and the rules we play by are made by us alone.
We definitely want to listen to the voice of the people for this and everything we do.
The response has been terrific so far - keep your opinions and suggestions coming!
I don't want to turn this into a LoA thread, but i run r'as as my primary 4, because he almost always ends up KOing their 4 if I have evens. If i don't then he's still better than running merlyn on 4 , because merlyn can be easily stunned, especially considering the amount of flight in the current meta. I run merlyn as an alternate 4, because later on I can underdrop him and KO somebody bigger, and he's easily searchable.
choose gotham or league plzzzz and btw merdle. merlin is TERRRRIBLEEE. you play him x1 for the control matchup, he's nice tech along with the old ras.
and as much as i want GK to be viable now that i think about it making league a good 6 drop would probly be the best thing to do, since that could actually make them tournament viable. while GK kindof needs a bit of rehashing :(
