This set's theme: I was going to say Cosmic, but I should skim that down to OUter space Domination. If we went cosmic, you'd have Celestials, Eternity and death, Lord Chaos and Master Order and all of those 7+ drop guys everywhere. So I guess that Shiar should be involved in this set. but they may be tied into another mutant set down the line......

Besides UDE already announced around the X-men release (it was in the first Metagame preview for the set) that they were working on a new card template so that Dual Affiliation and the Mutant Traits could go together on a card with no problems, and that they were starting that in Heralds of Galactus set with the new template. They're focusing on Fantastic Four supporting characters this set.

Because House Of M happened in the "Real" Marvel Universe I wonder if you will start to see stuff Directly from it (like characters and Such) in this set. The closest thing from X-men was the flavor text on Sovregn Supreme or what ever the Brotherhood Search card is. IF thats what they are going to do, doom had his own little group of Metas as part of his team.

More likely they are going to go with a theme that will be able to tie in all 6 teams. I. E. Kree, Skrull fighting each other forever, Big G, eatting the Skrull home world, The Inhumans being created by the Kree in their war with the Skrull. And so on and so on.

But in the sceem of all that where does Doom tie in?

And Infinity Watch for that matter

The Watch were more invovled with Galactus and his cosmic companions in their short run than most teams were in their entire history. It's just a shame that it was so long ago that most people don't remember.

As the timing for release of these sets tend to coincide with the release of either movie or large story crossovers (i.e. Infinite Crisis set for D.C.), you can probably get an idea on what's in the Heralds set from the upcoming Annihilation books, which is featuring most, if not all of the teams/characters in this set.
