And the closest thing Marvel has to Batman is Moon Knight. There was actually a long running argument about how similar they were, what with the darkness theme and all the throwing blades, grappling lines, and gadgets.
And Xavier doesn't need to be there. at the final meeting of the Illuminati, even though none of them really were in agreement to be a gorup as such, merely trade info and not act, Xavier was still missing from the House of M and wasn't present.
So all members of the final meeting of the Illuminati, during which any hope of it meeting again were dashed, appear in this set.
Doesn't make sense to me that they're not going to create an Illuminati card just because he wasn't there at the last meeting, what if Prof. X was there for most of their other meetings?
Looking forward to that Illuminati series that Marvel is going to have, BTW...
Cause if they made BP flat out own Doom, I am going to stop reading Marvel. Doom would crush BP x 10000000000 and PIITB afterwards.
hey man, I love Doom as much as the next man but he's had his ### kicked by lots of people in the past. Sure, most of them were retconned to be Doom Bots, but still, he got beat by SQUIRREL GIRL!!!!

Squirrel Girl defeated Thanos too. Being able to defeat ANYONE is part of her canonical powers. There is no shame on getting beaten by her.

She is pretty much like drop 5 Electra.
I hope if she ever gets a Vs card, it's something completely off the wall, like, 1-drop, 1/1, Squirrel Girl cannot be stunned by a character with a cost greater than 1.

It was a good fight, but doom LET BP walk out cuz he didn't want his place damaged anymore. They were banging up the inside of his castle and an EMP took out quite a few Doom bots. Doom just wanted BP out, and i don't think he wants to fight storm and BP in his home without any backup readily available. Not to mention the backlash from the politcal and super powered communities respectfully. He basically said "screw it, just leave or doom will pwn you."
So I know that a deck featuring all of these characters is nowhere near playable but does anyone have any ideas for a decklist.. I wanna build a deck to toy around and have some fun with and I can tell this would be fun to play around with..
I think the reason for the members of the illuminati is that they are all powerful in their realm.
Fantastic is the smartest
Iron man is the richest and most influential
Prof X is the strongest mutant
Doc strange is the strongest mythical
and Subby owns a freakin nation
It's likely more of an issue of representation than anything else.
Prof X represents the mutant 'interest'
Submariner has an entire undersea kingdom to represent
Doc Strange is on behalf of the mystics
Fantastic can represent both the scientific community and the 'mutate'/metahuman community.
Iron Man is rich, and also completely human, so he covers that part of the community too.
Black Bolt represents the Inhumans.
Black Panther even represents Wakanda as their king.
So in general, if you are a superhero and monarch, or a leader of a team [Avengers, Fan Four, X-Men] you were invited.
EDIT: For the decklist ... 1-drop Longshot definately fits into the theme of deck stacking.
