IMO, WL Flash. Now he has outwit protection and willpower and is so tough to catch. Time gem is a bit of waste for him but soul gem is beastly since steal energy will work with HSS. He's priced well enough that you can get some good support in as well.
The problem is that Galactus beats WL Flash without too much of an issue until Flash gets to power 2/3 on the Gauntlet. Flash HSS in, attacks and if he does his 1 click of damage, Mystics puts him on his Force Blast click before he can get away. Galactus then Perplexes Damage, attacks needing a 5 to hit and you have a 33% chance to evade an attack that puts WL Flash on his Live click. He also doesn't have any strong keywords to build off of to counter Galactus.
That said, I think the power to look for is Pulse Wave. It ignores pretty much everything, including the bonuses granted by the Gauntlet meaning you keep offensive efficiency even when your opponent gets to power 2/3 on the Gauntlet.

I don't 100% disagree with you but I have a couple of points to consider:
1. You can say that about alot of pieces. Is Superman not a to be feared piece just because if he happens to play Galactus he gets knocked off his first click? He'll still be seen in worlds - probably more of him than galactus though I'm sure he will be seen too.
2. Pulse wave is awesome but it has the same flaw against Galactus. To hit him with it - that piece will likely be left in LOS for a huge retaliatory strike and the Big G can likely take a hit better. Then your fig has lost PW and now he takes back over. Also, if you miss that big 19 defense, the PWer is a sitting duck. If I miss my HSS attack, I can still run away. For the record though - I agree with you about PW being a major power at World's. RS/PW + TK and HSS are the two biggies IMO.
3. WL Flash is still a good option because he leaves a lot of points left over for another strong attacker. If I throw FF Super-girl with him - she can HSS in and hit him for 6. She may be able to get one more good hit in and WL Flash can finish up. It's all predicated on good dice rolls but you can say that about the whole game.
4. Yeah, no great KWs means each of you have an equally good chance of winning map. I do think you'll see less of Galactus at worlds because if you do play him, you'll likely play at least one theme team and get neutered by map choice. There will be less people willing to place all of their eggs in that basket when they likely will have to play with him on Bizzaro-world map IMO.
Again, I don't disagree 100% with you, but the gauntlet certainly makes WL Flash alot more viable. Personally, he's not on the team I think I've decided to bring if I qualify, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't there. That's the thing about the gauntlet though, it makes alot of characters more viable.

I'd probably run w/o "The Order" to keep Defenders for the Rick Jones'.

I think you're both confused. Either that or I am.
@Batman1983: ATAs do not replace existing TAs. You could give Hulk The Order, and he would still have Defenders, and Ricks could still copy either one.
@razzed1: ATAs are possessed by characters, so they can still be copied by wildcards, unless the ATA specifically says it's uncopyable (which The Order doesn't).

Woops! I, for some reason, thought that that one ATA said you had to possess Defenders to even use it. I be wrong and stuff. Thanks.
So yes, you can still use The Order ATA on Hulk and have Rick Jones' copy it.
I played the Stranger 2xRenegade team and only lost to a Super Girl/Superman (full IG) team with the Kryptonian ATA. It was a close game, but I think the loss was due to me falling short on making the right moves.

what map was used?

I've been impressed with Stranger Barrier so far. But we didn't see any of them at Origins or Dexcon. What's the reason for this as it seems to be a strong team and has performed pretty well for me in testing?
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.
