I do think it's pretty great, though.

funny - my wife & I (60 and 53) just discovered these books - they're a blast! And very quick reads.

The "War Doctor" will be missed.

He's 2. He does not have a good grip on I/You, mine/yours usage. So he early on started using 3rd person and is just now starting to include some proper pronoun utilization. I figure it'll come along soon enough, as his vocabulary and contextual understanding is fine. Last night at the supper table the boy said "Quincy's daddy is impressed with Quincy finishing his supper?" It was hilarious.

I'm hoping he starts to get the hang of regular conversational language. He keeps talking more and more like a logic routine or a flow chart applied to putting toys away or not eating lunch before getting dessert. It's nerdly charming, but will get him some funny looks and teasing if Quincy does not modify the way Quincy speaks when "Quincy trying to tell Quincy's daddy something".

I kind of like it. Vlad will start speaking that way from now on.

Vlad had an interaction the other day that Vlad thinks the LPC will be amused by.

You log in to HCRealms. As you're getting caught up on the LPC thread, you find that vlad has decided to speak in the 3rd person. "That's pretty weird," you think to yourself, "But it takes all kinds!"
