So what it is about Magus anyway? I get the argument that he can hide - but most likely his MM fodder can't. So why would I go to him before I went to the fodder?
Not sure I understand the question. Are you asking why you would go out of your way to attack him in Stealth when you could attack his fodder, or more generally about how he should be played?

I just see a lot of people hyping him, and can't understand the argument behind his stealth, ie: you have to come to him.

Well, he wants to be in close combat a lot to use his Exploit Weakness, so he probably wants to base people. Stealth isn't the most necessary power on a figure who has Mastermind that's already uncounterable, but it does open you up to a lot of positioning options where you can limit how many opposing figures can snipe your fodder once you get up close, and it can let you move around without fodder at range and adding some defense if all of your fodder dies. Magus is one of the few Power Cosmic figures relatively safe from the new Adam Warlock, too.

Oh I get it, I just see a lot of people arguing that you have to come to him rather than just destroy his mm fodder. He is a good figure, but not great IMO. At least not as good as some claim.

Forget about Magus, people are over-hyping Mistress Death. In a 300 point sealed game, she is going to almost guarantee your opponent a win. First, her damage is low. Second, you might not even be able to fit any mastermind fodder with her. Third, and a point that most people are over looking, with the maps for Galactic Guardians, her 13 range will be essentially nullified. Yet people thing she's going to be crazy in a 300 point sealed.
She also will also suffer from the same problem Magus will have...a serious lack of hindering terrain for their stealth.

Yeah, I have the FD on standby for part 4 of the primer...

Depends on how you play him, I guess. Playing him such that your opponent has to base him probably means you're doing something weird. That might make him []good with the gauntlet[/], but by and large, yeah, I'm not that impressed by him. Seems perfectly playable, but not at all special.

Wait, there are people who think Death isn't garbage?
mutantwolf and I were talking about this earlier, and you need to get into implausibly large games before she'll start pulling her weight. Like possibly over 1000 points. She's bad. She's triple bad in sealed. Even with completely optimal pulls in a 400 point sealed game I don't see her doing well because, like you said, the maps are both bad news for her. Even hers ironically.

Stopped at Target again today because I don't think I'll be able to fit it in again until like Friday, and still found nothing. Oh well. If something turns up I'm sure someone will let me know.
Also finally got my Buster Machine Dix-Neuf action figure in the mail today, and it is a damn fine action figure. Does anyone else collect Revoltech figures?
I've been considering getting a second Dormammu and some spare Revoltech joints and trying to articulate Dormammu's arms, and I was wondering if anybody knows if there's a process people usually use to do that? Is there a particular too that I should be using to cut and drill plastic?

Use a Hacksaw Jim Duggan
I'm the one who steps from the shadows, all trenchcoat and cigarette and arrogance, ready to deal with the madness. Oh, I've got it all sewn up. I can save you. If it takes the last drop of your blood, I'll drive your demons away. I'll kick them in the bollocks and spit on them when they're down and then I'll be gone back into darkness, leaving only a nod and a wink and a wisecrack. I walk my path alone... who would walk with me?
Well, it appears that I perhaps celebrated too early. Just got done opening my two cases and got two NEARLY identical cases. Not sure what I did to tick off Karma, but I got slapped in the face hard:
SR's:
Stranger x2
Lord Mar-Vell x2
Thing x2
Gladiator
Medusa
Cosmo
Mr. Fantastic
Chases:
Mr. Fantastic x2
Colossals:
Master Mold x2
Ziran the tester x2
2 CUR sets w/a little extra

I am definitely interested in trading a bunch of stuff to get what I need. I was totally crestfallen to be such a huge cosmic fan and the figures that I need include:
SR Thanos
SR Death
Chase Thanos
Chase Keeper
Chase Doom (With the PC)
Galactus
Uatu the Watcher
