AvX - Month 1
This will be another Saturday event. We should have the Month 1 kit by then, but if not, we will run the Month 2 event, and come back to Month 1 when we get it.

The format for this event is as follows: 300 point, Modern Age team. Must include at least one figure from either the Avengers or X-Men starter. All characters must share a keyword with the starter figure, but your team does not have to be a Theme Team as such. No resources, relics, or bases larger than peanut bases are allowed.

For this event, and AvX events moving forward, there will be a $10 buy-in. Alternatively, players may purchase two 5-figure boosters of any available Heroclix, though the event itself is a constructed format. Assuming we have 10 players or fewer (our normal turnout), all players will receive both participation figures after the event concludes.

A v X Month 2

The format for the Month Two Event is a 400 point, Sealed/Constructed event. Prior to the start of the event, players will purchase one (2) HeroClix five-figure boosters from their store, and declare if they are either fighting for the Avengers OR the X-Men.

Each participant may bring to the event no more than 200 points of HeroClix figures, utilizing at least one (1) figure from their selected Avengers vs. X-Men (AvX) starter (either the AvX: Avengers or X-Men starter.)

Players will then utilize a combination of the contents of their boosters and their selected constructed elements to finalize their 400 point team. Players MUST use at least one figure from the corresponding Marvel HeroClix: Avengers vs. X-Men (AvX) starter product (i.e. Avengers players must use at least one figure from the AvX Avengers starter, SKU 71066, and X-Men players must use at least one figure from the AvX X-Men starter, SKU 71067).

Your purchase of two boosters is your entry fee. All players will get a participation prize, and first, second and fellowship will receive a Limited Edition Figure.

Wednesday, 3/12. 6-9pm
Two booster sealed SLOSH. $20 buy-in. Build a 400 point team from what you pull. Prize support will be Mon-el GL, but as a bonus a Legion Ring for the first 10 people to show up. Try to show up early, as sealed events usually take longer to get going.

Wednesday, 3/26. 6-9pm UPDATE!
AvX Month 1 (2). As per last month, we will play with whatever kit we have. I know we have the month 3 kit, but if the month 1 kit shows up we'll do that instead. We have the month 1 kit, so that's what we're doing. Either way, here's the build: 400 points constructed, you must include at least one figure from either AvX starter. The rest of your team must be Modern Age, Marvel only, and each character must share a keyword with the figure from your starter (though not necessarily the same one). With <10 players, everyone walks away with both participation prizes. The buy in is 2 boosters for $20 or $10 flat.

Monday 3/10: Fear Itself Month 5 - Build a 500 pt force from two sealed boosters. Depending on the number of players, the boosters will either be two Fear Itself boosters or one Fear Itself and one other Modern Marvel booster. Relics and Resources from the Fear Itself events (months 1-5) or the AvX (months 1-3) can be added to your force. You do not have to declare which resource you are using for this event before building your force, but standard rules for using resource dials apply. (If you use a resource, you can not use special objects. You can only have one resource dial per team.)

Monday 3/17: Superman and the Legion of Superheroes two- booster draft. Each player will buy two boosters and sit around a table. Open booster and pick one figure from the booster and pass to the left. Repeat until all figures are claimed. Open second booster and pass to the right. Build a 300 pt force from the figures you drafted. Prizes will be Mordru from the SLOSH OP kit.

Monday 3/24: "The Newest Legionnaire" - $2 entry fee. 400 pt Silver Age. If the rest of your team has either the Legion of Superheroes keyword, Green Lantern Corps, Legion of Supervillains keyword or Legion of Doom keyword, then one figure on your force may be considered to have it for that match (so it doesn't break theme teams and can be given an ATA). There will be a participation prize for each player, as well as a prize figure for 1st and Fellowship from the SLOSH OP kit. Prize: Green Lantern Mon-El

NOTE ON SILVER AGE: At Game Links, Silver Age includes all figures that do not have a purple ring, no tactics except theme team. (No Resources, special objects, etc.) Theme team map roll bonus is modified for Silver Age games to +2 for named theme and +1 for generic.

• 400-point sealed/constructed hybrid as described on the event page. Also, your sealed booster must be from a Marvel set.
• From the judge: "For this event, Fun4All will be using the Hybrid Sealed/Constructed format, with one change: ALL figures you bring for your 300 points MUST be from your chosen AvX starter, which you must have purchased from Fun4All. Your final build, including your sealed booster, does not have to include all of that 300 pts, but must include at least one figure from the starter."
• Note: Month 1, you were allowed to include one point total of a character among your starter figures, then play another version on your team. This will not be allowed this month, so keep that in mind when building. You will have to choose one starting line, and that will be the only one available to your team.
• Additional note: If you bought your starter somewhere else, you can still play if you spend an equivalent amount ($40+) at the store. Keep your receipts if you're new to the event!
