The smurf was temporarily stunned by the mental blast from Moondragon. “Glad to see you back in the game lady.” Deathstroke fired again and the smurf was no more. In fact, the stairs were clear of the little blue death machines. “We make a pretty good team pretty lady.”

She smiled at him and looking admirably she said, “Come on over here and I will show you teamwork.”

Wilson looked surprised.

“No need to fear my reputation. No man on earth has the brain capacity I see in you. We could be magnificent together.” She smiled triumphantly at him.

Wilson shouldered the assault rifle and brushed off some smurf blood. Then he began the saunter over toward her.

‘Logan.’

‘Heather, I told you about jumpin’ into my flamin’ head unannounced!’

She smiled to herself, ‘The mercenary is mine, body and soul.’

‘Heather!’

‘He will serve our purpose. Besides, I used my womanly ways and not my mind powers.’

‘Good. I think that big pink guy would notice if you had. I intend to stop everyone from leavin’. I'm just gonna need some help at first.’

She smiled, both to herself and at the approaching Deathstroke. ‘I understand the importance of this mission just as well as you do.’

Smurf Story

Over in the park Chef smurf closed on Doc Ock. “Smurf back my metal calamari man! Smurfette just smurfs calamari! Surely she will smurf me for a plate of calamari such as you!”

Chef Smurf moved quietly into the bushes next to Doc Ock.

Bullseye just looked over at him and shrugged. “Looks like he lost his appetite and left.”

Doc Ock was panic striken now. Couldn’t Bullseye see him? He had hoped the gunman could shoot the thing and end this. “You gotta help me! He’s still there Bullseye! I see him.”

Kraven laughed. “Next you’ll be tellin’ us that you see dead people too.” Both Kraven and Bullseye laughed.

“Yeah Doc. Bruce Willis you ain’t!”

He looked around at the other bushes and thought he saw a smurf or two staring back at him. “Maybe I do.”
