We hope to have the kit in hand by next Weds. Assuming a turnout of 10+, expect one booster of WoL, one of something else with a $25 buy-in. If we do not have the boosters, we will push WoL to the next event date, June 18.

If we have to push the event back, plan for a Deadpool sealed booster draft event.

• The store anticipates 2 WoL boosters per person.
• We should have enough War of Light boosters to accommodate at least 15 players for this event. If more players show up than we are able to supply product for, players will be given priority in the order in which they registered on this site. Players who sign up here after Noon on 6/5 will be considered walk-ins. (That's when we print off the list of pre-registered players.)
• The cost to participate in this event is $35 per player.

I'm Dan Blakney, the new judge at Comix Oasis in Allen Park. We are having events every Monday at 6:00pm beginning June 2nd.

June 2nd and June 9th - Meet and Greet
Bring a couple different teams and meet the Downriver Heroclix people. I will bring some maps, if you want, feel free to bring your own.

No prizes or cost, we just want to get a feel for how many people locally are interested in a new place to play some clix.

Just a bump to say that the Fun4All listing for War of Light month 1 has been updated, and there should be enough product for 15 players.

Buy-in is $25 for 1 Booster of War of Light and 1 Booster of another set.

We have space for 20 people but please play nice and use the Event System, I really don't want to be a bad guy in the unlikely event we have overwhelming numbers. The list will be printed at 5:00pm on Monday, register before then.

Packs get cracked open at 6:10, dice roll at 6:30pm.

June 19, 2014 - Your choice of two events:

• War of Light - "Month 1.5"
  • WizKids Event System Link / Signup
  • Same rules as Month 1 event, with prizes determined by attendance. Everyone will get the participation prizes, though.
  • Points earned will still count toward the Nekron grand prize in Month 6.
  • The cost to participate in this event is $35 per player. This is expected to include two boosters of War of Light per person.

• Side Event - 300 points, Modern Age
  • WizKids Event System Link / Signup
  • If you're not up to participating in War of Light Month 1.5, you may instead participate in this event.

6/30: HEROCLIX: Reverse sealed!! Each player buys two 5 figure boosters and builds a team of AT LEAST 300 pts from the contents of the booster. Boosters may be from any 5 figure Modern boosters in stock. Each round, you play your opponent's team and they play yours. So, build a really awful team out of the figures you pull! Prize is Deadpool LE #103. (Wolverine)

7/7: HEROCLIX: War of Light Month 2. $25 entry fee. Build a team from two sealed boosters. Depending on numbers, it will be either two boosters of WoL or a booster of WoL and one other Modern DC booster. Participation Prize for everyone and main prize for 1st, 2nd and Fellowship. SIGN UP IN STORE IS REQUIRED. LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE AND PRIORITY TO PLAYERS FROM MONTH 1.

7/14: HEROCLIX: Deadpool week 4: Battle of the Braniacs. $2 entry 400 pt. Modern. Resources allowed but cost double points to use. Each team will also get the Omega Drive to add to their team for free. This does not count as one of your items and can not be added if you have a resource, per standard resource rules. Note that the Omega Drive improves a figure that can use Outwit, so your team should include at least one figure with Outwit to take proper advantage of the Omega Drive. Prize is Deadpool LE #104 (Cosmic X-23).

7/21: Space War! $1 entry. Multi-player bash! Bring a 300 pt. Silver Age team that you might see battle in space (Cosmic characters, Lanterns of any color, Guardians of the Galaxy, Legion of Super Heroes, etc.) and get randomly assigned to a side. We'll be pulling out a bunch of space theme maps such as the Star Trek maps for this event. Prizes to be raffled from existing prize selection.

Here's the plan for the next few months. With WoL, everything is dependent on us actually having the kit, but I think we've gotten our issues ironed out. Time will tell, of course.

7/23/14
War of Light Month Two. 400 point sealed. You may use relics & resources from the Sinestro War pack, and Month One. One or two boosters of WoL, $25 buy-in.

8/6/14
300 point Silver Age (anything with a card). Must be a non-generic theme team.

8/20/14
War of Light Month Three. 300 point team, Wave Two booster(s). You may use any relics/resources from previous WoL events (plus the green ring).
