Your mention of the holiday brings me to yet another, and possibly the last, holiday related question:

When should the lights/tree come down?

This is the first year that The Girl and I have had space for a tree. I've successfully converted her from a "all lights on" to "slow fade" person. This holiday season, she has found not only an official Hawks jersey under the tree, but tickets to a game as well; so now she doesn't want the tree to come down at all.

She says that she'd be okay with it coming down when all the snow melts.

I've also discovered that just about no one understands what "The Twelve Days Of Christmas" means.

Even without the hints from the web address, I'm not just going to give Pud Balmer my home address.

No later than January 2nd.

I'd allow up to January 5th.

By the end of the second weekend following X-mas.

Both of these answers do not even allow for the Twelve Days.

The children I tutor live near a gated community.

They have two pine trees by their community sign. They still have lights on them. I was thinking of going by that as a gauge.

On the first day of Christmas my good people gave to me, KFC under my tree.


I think the lights should come down on Jan 2nd. Keep them on for New Years, spend your hangover day putting stuff away.
