We're now onto "L", and I'm still in the I/J range. I got to catch up.
Imagine - Chris Cornell
This is weird. I'm a big fan of Chris Cornell and all of the bands he's been in. I'm not a big fan of Lennon. I thought for sure this version would be the best version of this song I've ever heard. I actually prefer the original. Not what I predicted.
Patience - Chris Cornell
Ok. This is better with my reality. I'm not a big fan of this song, but this is a very enjoyable version.
Judas - Fozzy
My band plays this!
Jackson Cannery - Ben Folds Five
I'm not familiar with these guys, but I liked that bass player hogging the stage. The song had a kinda Beatles vibe to it, mixed with a late 70s/early 80s sit-com theme song feel.
Judas Rising - Judas Priest
One of the better of the newer Priest songs. Solid. Heavy.
Judas Be My Guide - Iron Maiden
Two of my favorite bands back-to-back! Sadly, I'm not a big fan of this song.
Just Close Your Eyes - WWE
Not a fan of this glurgy, WWE produced song.
Jesus He Knows Me - Genesis
Tremendously fantastic spoof. Clever Genesis at their best.
Jesus Saves - Slayer
Raw, naked, distorted power chords. Heaven. Then the thrashy, mumbly part starts. Hell.
Jesus Christ Pose - Soundgarden
Great song. I love that album.
Jesus (Of Nazareth) - HED p.e.
A quiet little groove. Then a shouty groove. I liked the "make everything all right" groove at the back end of the song.
Jesus Frankenstein - Rob Zombie
Rob's an interesting fellow, but I think that musically he should have stuck with White Zombie. They wrote better songs together. Also, the way he left them was kinda shady.
Kung Fu Fighting - Carl Douglas
Possibly the greatest K song ever. That audience in the video must be high, how can they be so still when such a fantabulous song is playing?
Killing In The Name - RATM
How can a song that is so repetitive be so powerful?
Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
There's a lot of Zep songs that I've heard so many times that I fast forward/change the station. Not this one. I can just sink into it and listen over and over.
Kiss The Girl - Chase Holfelder
This reminds me of Losing My Religion in a major key. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6KmiIq2-m8
Pretty cool (and now creepy) version of the song.
And...uh...speaking of REM
King of Birds - REM
I don't remember this song. After listening to it, it's not very memorable. We're past the letter for my favorite REM song, Feeling Gravity's Pull. Judge that.
Kilted Yaksmen Anthem - Ren & Stimpy
This brought a tear of pride and joy to my eye. It makes my heart swell. So inspiring.
Kirisute Gomen - Trivium
I had to look back. Did I link to this song? It's one of my favorite Trivium songs. It's Phant! Nice job phanty pants.
Kutulu (The Mad Arab Part II) - Mercyful Fate
I had to look back. Who the hell linked to this song. I can't stand King Diamond's voice. It's Phant! Thanks a lot, loser. The music was kinda cool.
King Nothing - Metallica
Not a big fan of this album, and this song is big pile of pretty good. Not spectacular, but it doesn't make me say, "What happened to you Metallica?"
The Call of Ktulu - Metallica
Definitely one of my top most favorite Metallica songs. I've probably listened to this song more than any other by them.
Keasbey Nights - Catch 22
What a weird transition to go from TCoK to this wackiness.
Killers - Iron Maiden
K is rocking for me. oh wait...this was my suggested song. What good taste I have.
Know Your Enemy - RATM
Another great Rage track. One of my wife's favorites. All of which are American dreams.
Kick Out The Jams - MC5
High energy song. Great play. Throw it on a loop.
Kiss of Life - Gene Loves Jezebel
Hmmmm. I'm not sure on this one. It's a pretty song. I like the way the music develops. Not really a fan of the vocals, but I like the lyrics. I think I'll have to listen to it again at some point.
Kiss - Prince
A song so cool that even Tom Jones had to cover it. When it first came out, I didn't like it. It didn't sound like other Prince songs, and it just seemed so simple, and the lyrics bugged me (act your age not your shoe size). It didn't take more than a few listens for me to realize that I'm wrong and Prince is a genius.
Kalopsia - Queens of the Stone Age
Josh Homme. That's all I can say.
Kings of the Wild Frontier - Adam & The Ants
Classic Adam Ant. Still kinda cool.
Know Your Rights - The Clash
I've never been a fan of The Clash. Still not. I can handle Rock the Casbah, and that's about it.
Knife Party - Deftones
Pretty good song. Might listen to again.
It can be. What's some of your favorite rap lines?
Ummmm.... Don't really have any favorites. I had this mentioned to me earlier and it makes sense given that the a lot of the line have rhymes or at least close ryhmes.
