"All the power in the world won't help you if you can't connect," Batman advised the Legionnaires as first Supergirl and then Wildfire tried and failed to hit the caped crusader. "That's why in the end, we'll win. You're sloppy."
"Maybe, just maybe you might call these kids sloppy," Officer Erin thought, "but one thing the Science Police taught me is how to make each shot count." Having thought this, she took careful aim at the goofing Plastic Man and fired. She was rewarded by a loud "Yeowtch!" but the hero's resilience kept him in the fight, just a little.
"If you think you're safe behind that force field..." Batman starts as he reaches behind his cape. He grabs an electronic disruptor that destroys Brainiac force field and the electric shock almost takes him down.
So much for Brainy's usefulness, but he did idstract you from the others. Now. To push or not to push? I don't usually care to push when my chances of hitting you are so bad (I need what, a 9 or better and with your PC I have to do it twice) but if I wait, my chances will probably be worse next turn. Sooo...
Kara pushes to attack. AV8 on DV17. Gets 7.
Shvaughn Pushes. AV8, so she also needs 9. Gets 2. 2 damage to Shvaughn
Wildfire will hold off. Like I'll roll a 10 twice.

Batman relied on his ability to keep track of what all his opponents were doing. It had saved his life often in the past, when he had been ganged up upon by crowds of thugs. It came in useful now as well. Supergirl and the Science Police officer were both moving in for an attack on him from opposite sides. He waited until the last split second, then moved. Supergirl's expression changed from determination to one of horror as she realized that her punch was no longer going to hit Batman, but Shvaughn instead. She tried to pull it, but it was too late to stop it entirely. It didn't take her head off like it could have, had Supergirl put all her strength behind it, but Kara still winced when it connected, knowing just how painful it must be to her friend with no superpowers to protect her.
"Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry," she repeated, flustered.
"Don' wrry 'bt it," Shvaughn mumbled through afew loose teeth and a swiftly swelling lip.
Green Arrow skillfully raises his bow and arrow and squints his eyes. He looks at Wildfire and Supergirl, surrounding Batman.
"Eienie meinie minie moe..." he says looking at the pair of Legionnaires and letting go of the arrow. He carefully chose Wildfire as the target figuring he was less winded and easier to hit.
"Come on..."he impatiently says, waiting for the arrow to connect. When it hits Wildfire it does so brilliantly; opening up his suit and disrupting his energy pattern. Wildfire spills out of the containment suit.
"Ollie, you handsome son of a b****. You rock my world," he says to himself.
Having a personality like this to write is why I chose Green Arrow on this JLA team. Turns out it really wasn't the best choice I could have made for a team but I'm glad I'm not getting so clobbered that I totally regret it.
I love Green Arrow. He's become one of my favorite DC heroes. Batman's DV is really starting to seem pretty insurmountable here, especially with that PC to make me reroll the occasional roll lucky enough to hit. The only reason I haven't thrown in the towel yet, it that I do have a chance, however slim. One really good turn could give me a respite. Perhaps not enough for a win, but enough to maybe get one more figure down. The Legion's already got a pretty good shot at one of the two wildcard berths, but if there's a chance I can get them a few more points, just to be safe, I'll play a few more turns.
