@Ignatz and balloonatic - It was developed in the Eclipse IDE with the ADT plugin. That's the IDE suggested by the Android development website.
Find out what version of the Android OS you have. If you have anything than version 2.0.1 then that could be the problem.
I'll check around Eclipse for phone-specific settings in the meantime.
@daerdeletravoh - Did you try getting it from the market first? If you can't then you have to change the settings on your phone to allow you to install apps that you get from outside the market.
I've got 1.6. My phone is 1st gen, it won't ever get 2.0+. Do you have build options that allow for other versions?
Others: If your phone says it cannot install for security reasons, so go Settings/Applications and look for an option to allow non-Market apps to install.
That's what I figured. I just did some research and I found out that around 75% of Android users have 1.5 or 1.6. 2.0+ hasn't quite become mainstream, yet. It may take some time, but I'll see if I can retool it for earlier versions. At the moment, I have no idea what that's going to take so I have no idea how long it will take.
I've dropped it back to Android 1.1. If that doesn't help then I don't know what else to do. It's been both published and put on my website (at the above link).
How do you tell what version you have of market my phone has only been. On the market for a couple months I thought it would be up to date
From the desktop hit the menu button-settings-about phone. It'll list model #, Firmware version, and other techy bits.
At the top of that screen is a System updates that will check to see if your firmware is up to date for your phone. You may have missed a a firmware update.
