So. . . my first instinct on reading his trait is that it "downgrades" the defense power by one--Imperv to Invulnerable or Invulnerable to Toughness.
However, in the way it's worded, it's also possible to read it as reducing Imperv to Invulnerable THEN to Toughness, as well as Invulnerable to Toughness.
So, before the poo hits the proverbial fan over this. . . which is it?
It makes sense that if they wanted Imperv to turn into toughness, they wouldn't have used extra wording. Though two Atrocitoussess might be able to make that happen.
Suffice to say this guy's a new really cool (kinda streamlined) beatstick. I'd pair him up with Mera and give him Vampirism in a 300. In a 400, Him, Mera and Guy would be fun (and generally strategy free.)
Get into 500, play a second Mera, Misty Knight, and Red Lantern. Fun Fun Fun!
Wow. Atrocitus with the Red Lantern object boosting his damage is quite mean. I won't be using his B/C/F though. Great sculpt, I just wish Atrocitus' little buddy Dex-Starr was also in this set...
Is it confirmed that Dex-starr isn't in this set, because last I checked on that spoiled dial list there were 4 figure numbers missing. So we still have 4 mystery figures I think.
I have been looking forward to this figure since I got into Heroclix with the BN set. If this set itself wasn't incentive enough to buy at least one brick, here's another reason.
Suffice to say, I disagree, this set is awesome as is the character selection.
Allowing for sub-themes, as all sets should, DC75 draws from the breadth of DC's long history very well IMO. I never thought we'd see characters like Sargon or the Nightmaster in HeroClix.
When the "sub-theme" overtakes the main theme of 75th Anniversary, I take issue. I would have less of a beef if they named it Brightest Day or Rainbow Brite.

I can't speak to what you choose to take umbrage at. I can say however that 15 of 60 figures does not "overtake" a theme, particularly when those 15 figures are part of the the last 75 years of DC history.

Keep in mind tho, Munch, that while those 15 have been part of DC History, how many other DC figures out there have yet to even be made, and yet they insist on two batmen, two supermen and two wonder women in this set.. BEFORE we go and include white lanterns.
That's the start of where I'd take issue. I could pull out the DC Universe Encyclopedia and throw out three or more names that could warrant clix sooner than a second set of the trinity...
Highfather
Lightspeed
Grayven- at least I think that was the name- another of Darkseid's sons...
"A" is "A". And no matter what universe he's from, Luthor... is Luthor.
doomsay is still the nastiest thing in this set, but he's good! i love when they get a click right. only problem is every red lantern needs to be able to make a ranged attack at least 4. it should be a trait since they all seem to have BF.
@antonio.clark.art is my instagram.take a look and tell me what you think....be blessed!!!
I want to see this 202 Monster destroy many 202 Iron Mans...
umm.. with 0 range? All things being equal..Never.
Honestly I too am in the minority and not too thrilled with his dial for over 200 points. His trait is rather "meh" in my opinion. I would simply rather OUTWIT the damage reducer. Of course it can help on Cosmic and Quintessence figures but Exploit Weakness works waaaayyyy better.
A trait that gave Atrocitus a full dial of Exploit Weakness would have been Supercalifagilistic-Sweet!
Still he is consistent and has good attack and defense up front. B/C/F is a waste though.
At least his attack is above a 9 unlike some 200+ point pcs I could name
[cough]BATB Supes [cough]
But I just reaaaaallly like Atrocitus so I'm glad he's here. I'm NEVER playing him at 400 points though. He needs tremendous tie up to keep from getting sniped to death as well as a truckload of tk.
So far I'm glad all these different Lanterns are being made but I was hoping for better dials. Not terrible...just not what I was hoping for.
