When I worked in a game store 8-9 years ago and Sabertooth Games released their colossal Balrog figure for the Lord of the Rings Combat Hex game... I remember that a LOT of those flew off the shelves, mostly to people who never had and never were going to buy the other figures in the game. They just wanted that Balrog.

I think the same thing could happen with a HeroClix Smaug today.

BTW, why isn't there an Arkenstone relic in HeroClix yet?

I wish Muncho were allowed to just come out and say it was a licensing issue. It's the only thing that might make sense as to why WK isn't making large-scale Tolkeinclix.

I'm not even entirely sure how WK can make LOTR clix at all with GW claiming they have "worldwide exclusive rights" to tabletop games. Maybe HC doesn't count as a tabletop game? I am assuming, of course, that the GW license is somehow prohibiting the creation of such clear no-brainers as a Balrog and Smaug.
