If I pull a character off the base (say, Fairchild), do I get to decide what starting line she has, and therefore her point value if KO'd?
Nope, the point value of a Solo Adventure figure is the first non-orange starting line prior to the click it comes into the game on. That is also considered their starting line for the purposes of healing them, so despite coming into the game on the yellow click (assuming the team base was on yellow numbers), they can be healed all the way up to their closest starting line.
Really? I have yet to find that anywhere in the rulebook or player's guide. I am of course just being snarky at this point, but it has been a point that bothered me ever since the old official WK forums went away.
Edit: ah! it is in the official tournament rules document! But the way it is worded, I can create an account on an independent message board, name myself Necromagus or any Rules Deputy screen name, and if I have the latest time stamp on my post I can officially overrule anything short of the player's guide/rulebook itself. What a silly way to run things.
Edit: Edit: And for that matter, the ruling that Working Together doesn't allow you to reactivate Working Together actually does contradict the printed material (character card) that says the free power action can be used for ANY action, so it technically overrides any posts on message boards until they get something more official in print.
I'll stop being a rules lawyer jerk now.
The reason that this site (and others) are not mentioned directly, only names and screen names, is green, if you understand my meaning.
Hint: that means money. Not just money either, but legal stuff too - it would be unfair to point at a particular site as official without paying for that site. I'm sure Typhon would like some WK money, but probably not the WK headaches.
So, as far as using MC to detach characters, create characters, keep characters...all that stuff, it is all being reviewed. We are working on it right now so I wouldn't make any assumptions about anything that has to do with detaching just yet, but I will definitely be back with an answer to all questions regarding those mechanics as soon as we have one.
There is one answer. What happens when the team base player does not bring the other switch clix?? Well...nothing...the player doesn't have to bring them, and without them, you cannot MC them off the base.

Nothing in the rules states I must play with sideline characters if I'm using a character that use them.
Also, you dont have to allow use of your side figures...

No per the building the force rules the figure you pop off is based on the team base click color number which is based off the point total you're playing the team at. So if playin GEN 13 at the 100 point level she would come off on click # 5.

If you're playing Gen13 at the 300 point level and they have taken enough damage to put them onto a click with a yellow number, then any detached characters would start on the first click that also had a yellow click number, not the red click number.

True they dont have to bring them.
However if you bring them according to the HCTR you have to make that mechanic available to other players.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!

And again I'll ask you to point out where it says that.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
When do you choose which character's asset ability you are using when you have the team base icon on your asset dial showing on its 1st click? It says when it "appears", would that mean at the beginning of the game or beginning of your turn?
As an aside, who would ever pick the TTPC option over natural PC?
PC far outweighs TTPC due to the drawbacks of such.
But TTPC could be used by the split off pieces, or additional pieces on your team, and multiple times per turn if that's the case. Regular PC on the team base would be limited to once per turn, and only by the base itself, as I understand it.
I would also like to know the timing of "when the symbol appears". I played it as: I turned the dial and it came up, then I picked the member, and only used that one until it came back up while turning the dial.
I hope they change the rules for Team Bases being able to be captured...otherwise, a simple Leash will be able to take the whole Justice League with one attack!!! That's insane!
