the chaos can magic blast through blocking (at approaching enemy figs) and the guarsmen can take care of any shade or imps or even medium strenght units
I agree with Gog Kluge...I would pay more for a very well repainted fig. I have also seen people pay well above average even on ebay for well done figs.
Well I wanted to drop a note off to everyone who could or could not make it to the Atlanta pre-release. To those of you who could make it, I wanted to say thanks, Typhon and I had a ton of fun meeting you and running the tournament.
For those of you who did not come, here are some quick notes about what happened. We had well over 40 people there, some from as far as Mississippi and Jacksonville, Florida and they were lining up at 9am to get into the store. It was something else to see, that is for sure. It was literally standing room only as everyone arrived and later as we played. We were unable to secure rebellion boosters, so we used Army Boxes instead which went over HUGE, everyone felt they really got there $20 worth. I saw many (a lot more then I expected) Rebillion uniques which were pulled from the boxes. We saw lots of cool mounted figures and for the first 30 minutes after we passed out the boosters and army boxes everyone kind of sat around in wonder as they dug through the new figures. Couple of players need glue (which I did not have, mind ended up drying up) because their Scorpon units had come off the bases.
Anyway we played the first two rounds without mishap. Well over 80 people in the store made it a little warm, but it was not to bad....yet.
During the tournament it had been raining and thundering and lightening pretty bad. The lights had flickered a few times. Finally at one point the lights went out. The players played on as it got warmer and warmer. Eventually the lights came back on and they finished the last round. Local Champions guy, Justin, won the tournament going undefeated. Overall the biggest threat, everyone agreed, was the High Battle Mage on Scorpion Mount.
More stats will be up early this week, as will pictures of the tournaments.
and as the smoke clears, the inner turmoil begins to affect the island. The teams are becoming more and more divided as the tension rises, almost tangible in the tropical air. Is it still safe to be on the island? Where will the next meal come from, or more importantly, will I become the next meal?
:D :D Guys, just a little tension breaker there :D :D
had to be done...my apologies, i'm 2000 miles from home and can barely even access the site from this computer. I'm vacationing watching my little brother graduate so I've been missing out on a lot. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still around and that I apologize for missing out on all this. I'll be back in force Tuesday!

I'll be taking this base army to a Lancers prerelease tomorrow. Only problem is I'll have to take something out to put in some Lancers. I figure I'll take out the Wraith, as mounted figures serve the same purpose, and only change this if I get something so drastically cool I have to use it (like three Elves-at-Arms*** and a Faith Healer) Short of that, I'll use this minus the Wraith and plus whatever mounted units I get.
Anyway, I'm curious what you think of the army, and what mounted figs might go well with it.
You guys are on crack. Don't you realise that he can still run and hit you for 4 clicks at 12" range? You won't close on him and MI means nothing when he can move around you're blockers and hit for 4, while fleeing your troops! You have no idea how sweet bound is! Even if you close in on him, he can escape if he rolls higher than 1, and then move to your back and hit you with a range attack without you getting you're spin. If you then want to try to move to b2b combat again, you push and he repeats, taking down another opponent. Worth 143? probably not. Sweet mage? definately...
nothing that great.
Oh Blue Technomancer.

oh yea. The luck thing. I think it was just that they were stocking uniques in the prerelease packs to get them into play. Otherwise it would be weeks before the uniques got widely used enough. THe only ones I didn't see in Allentown were King O the dead and Martyr. I was so jealous of that guy with the TEchun. MUST..................................HAVE ..........................TECHUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
