ok I now get where you stand on these issues. but all the same.
raigeki has been banned since the beginning. Pot of greed wasnt banned because it is a random two cards. tourbo-exodia was not winning were it counted. it might have been at local tournies but when it came down to it chaos deck were what took regionals. tourbo exodia was not the reason for the ban on witch and sangan entirely. the ban itself was the reason for banning witch and sangan. also with witch and sangan fitting into any deck it was banned because it was almost a sure way to search out a way to regain the upper hand. and IT DID NOT CRIPPLE ANY DECK.
all that banning these cards did was slow down the meta. tourbo exodia still exist but you wont see it played because it is inconsistant. that is the way it was from the beginning. it always relied on having the five peices of exodia in your hand and control decks killed it. this is why I ask were you get off saying that those three cards were banned because of exodia. I have my eyes opened and your precious exodia was nothing like scientist ftk decks and didnt stand up to chaos decks. they were inconsistant.
Correction. Exodia couldnt beat Chaos not because of consistency but because Chaos had everything it needed to shut it down. Kycoo, DDWL (remove searchers), Drop Offs / Time Seals, CED (bombs hand), Delinquent (bombs hand) as well as the other hand manipulators. They were natural enemies, but unfortunately, Exodia had no way of affecting Chaos gameplay. Exodia decks play by themselves. They do not attempt to change the playfield or affect the opponent. Chaos had the free hand to slap Exodia around, while all Exodia could do was wait for the relentless assault on it to stop (which it never did).
Plus. Raigeki wasnt banned till CED was banned. The fact that Chaos also abused Witch and Sangan (so Chaos, Scientist, Warrior and Exodia - 4 highest tier decks of the time, though Exodia was the least seen) abused the same 2 cards, it called for their banning.
It didnt cripple T-Zodia? Try building it classic, then replace Witch and Sangan with Emissary. Theres a ton less flexibility and abuse possible in the decks. Exodia had its perfect tools in those cards but once they got banned, it lost 80% of its playability / flexibility.
Its inconsistent now since it doesnt have its kep pieces. In fact, it doesnt exist anymore. Many people try and replace the 2 golden searchers with Emissary, but to no avail. Its just not the same.
Agreed Scientist was faster than T-Zodia since it needed only 1 turn to win. Zodia needed at least 1 turn to try and set up, and then Imperial waltzed all over its set-up and Chaos started the relentless assault on it. It had no hope. Scientist would also be beat mercilessly when Imperial came out, but it could work on 1st turn, avoiding Imperial all-together.
But Im glad my point about BLS has been made and no more argument is being spawned because of that card. Lets leave Tech's thread to him and his bottle of Hennessy, shall we? :P
well the deck has been updated, so I beg of the wise gods of yu-gi-oh for suggestions and r/f's, hopefully this wont turn into another 5 pages of debating
Tech007 I feel bad that this thread has become what it was. with that said is that really your drink of choice. yuck. anyways I dont see why you dropped big shield gardna. it was completely anti-meta. it drew out cards like nobleman of crossout. and who expected a 2600 defender on the field. with everyone running beserk gorrilla it hurt to top deck that card knowing that if you didnt have another monster you had to atk it again. I dont agree with 7 traps when running royal decree. it is risky.
