Got around to seeing Django Unchained. Was a tad long and completely silly in parts. I can handle gun violence in movies but there were scenes of intense brutality that I wasn't prepared for. I could have waited for the DVD but it wasn't a waste of an evening.
Catering to the lowest common denominator since Feb 2003.
Watched Summer Wars tonight while feeling like there's a cold somewhere in my head. Not bad. Seemed to hit all the right notes at the right moments with just a little far-fetched crazy to keep it fun.

Oh my god guys, Cabin in the Woods. Missed it this summer, hate myself for that. I can't talk about it without spoiling everything, but if you are a horror movie fan with a sense of humor and intelligence, run-do not walk-and get this.

I'm not even a huge horror fan, although I watched my fair share of them back in the teenage days.
Saw Dredd. It was fun. A little graphic, maybe, but just a good action flick.
You mean The Raid: Redemption?

Really? Then one of them almost directly ripped off the other since even down to the introduction scene for the main villain is the same I liked them both, especially since both were over the top gruesome which to me in films died in the mid 90s

Yup, watching it at the Alamo Drafthouse here in Austin, a very cool theater and should be a good crowd

I read something about the Raid being based on a leaked Dredd script.
