I was worried yesterday.

A Mini Cooper driver was no trouble to me on my commute to work.

An old man in a mini-van saw me closing on him in the left hand lane and moved to the right before he became a problem for me.

I found myself nodding (Boba Fett like) at drivers I passed instead of sneering at them because their behavior was helpful or respectable.

I though I might be in The Matrix. Not the one Neo was in; the one Smith describes where they made the world too perfect, and people kept waking up.

A girl in a four-door four-banger allayed my fears.

That was a great "losing my virginity" story.

I bought pancake mix yesterday, so I took the advice of some person or persons in this thread who I've forgotten and bought some berry syrup. Got cheap strawberry syrup, and I'm trying it right now. It's okay. If I'm going with cheapass stuff anyway this is probably better than maple syrup. Probably not quite as good as honey.

Is it Smucker's?

I'm fairly certain that Smucker's is the easiest to find and that they have the widest range of flavors. It's also fairly cheap.

I like honey, but the taste can be overwhelming depending on what you're putting it on. I find that maple syrup is overwhelming no matter what it's on, but that's just me.

It may also not help that these are pecan pancakes (so they already have a fairly strong flavor) and I kind of botched the making of them. One was kind of burnt and the other one had way too much batter so it was kind of doughy.

Personally, I think pecan, as a flavor, ranges from "not subtle" to "almost totally overbearing".

As nuts go, I much prefer almonds.

In a lesson today, I skated toward one of my students, pretended to be out of control, and "crashed" into him.

(Most) Children like this bit. This little guy (soon to be four) REALLY thought it was funny and proceeded to announce, "That was aware-ious."

Despite the little dude's entertaining inability to pronounce the word, I think awareious should be a word.

When one fully understands human nature, life, the universe, and everything, and can laugh about it instead of cry, one has found existence to be awareious.
