Sleeping with a jacket on is one of my favorite things in the world. I have absolutely no idea why, but it's awesome. Combining that with the new Amanda Palmer album, and I'm about as content as a cat in a sunbeam.
Almost bought Cabin today. Waffled about the rewatchability. Figure I'm still gonna get it anyways.
Was the Twilight Zone movie or Jacob's Ladder any good? Wal-Mart has a bunch of "classic" horror films out for the month.
Get the blue ready if possible

I haven't seen them in years, but I remember liking The Twilight Zone. It had that bit about the guy who is scared of flying who looks out of the airplane window. Back on the TV show, the role was played by William Shatner and in the movie it was John Lithgow. (There was a funny reference to this in 3rd Rock From the Sun, IIRC.) Jacob's Ladder was freaky as all get-go. It was a good scary movie. I don't know that I would buy them for my collection, but if there were a couple of bucks each I might go ahead and get them for the entertainment value.
As far as Cabin in the Woods, I will wait for the movie when it gets to cable and/or Netflix streaming. Saving my money for the Blu-ray releases of The Avengers and The Dark Knight Rises.
(On a separate note, I finally watched Super 8 last night and it was pretty darned enjoyable. The soundtrack and the overall feel of the movie reminded me of ET The Extraterrestrial, for some reason.)

Carlos, sorry, things are rough right now, the answer: move to Boston.
just ask K and Mal. the Nerd Neca is growing. lol.
charles, Disney Store, is pre-selling the Avengers and you get a set of photos from the movie if you pre-order, you pay full price, $25, but you get the pictures as bonus. (not sure if they are considered lithos?) i don't know if a Disney store is in your area or not.
Give us the Flying Dutchman's Ghost.

Also, just you wait until Friday afternoon. I bet you all of the boredom will go out the window just about then.
So, how is week Three?

I think im ok with doing nothing at work as long as I can actually do something during the nothing. But I litteraly did nothing for about 3 1/2 hours. If I could have been online reading or learning something I would have been ok. I might have to become good friends with the Encyclopedia online to keep my mind busy and learn new things at work. The second half of the day went a bit faster at my second branch. Mostly because there is a bit that goes into closing each night.
Charles- My third week is going well. I am feeling more confidant in what im doing. I have keys to both locations and I was given my cash drawer this week. Its exciting but its also nerve wracking because its peoples money. That and Im a perfectionist and want to do my best. With a learning curve it means I can do my best at the beginning and that frustrates me. I do however see alot of improvement from day 1 so I am happy with that and I keep telling myself that I will get there and be patient with myself.
Also the company is awesome. We had "have fun at work" day last week and every branch was brought a cookie cake and milk. That was the day we learned the dance. Another branch played pictionary and another one had a hula hoop contest. Its a pretty close knit group and has a strong family feel.

Debating the merits of a 'Mafia Tournament'. Three seven-person games of Mafia and then a game with the winners of each mini-game. Possible downside: What if each of the first games has only one winner? A 3-person game isn't that fun...

I really enjoyed the 3-person game I ran a while back.
