Various LPCers at GENCON. PLEASE pick up some of the Con LEs and I will pay you back for them, plus spring for a nice meal for your agent fee! Black and White batteries, BLAM, Gazombie, Impy, whatever, just hook a brother up!
Man, Gen Con is awesome! I'm glad I was able to convince the entire LPC that I was in Afghanistan so I could go to Gen Con and shamelessly swipe Con LEs for future selling on eBay for ridiculous prices.
I should be hanging out with jwb and Bud tonight. But I have a big work proposal due Monday and need tonight to work on it. Plus I am leaving work early on Monday to play X-Wing.
Practically non-existant. Two people that I work with got their Heroclix orders in, and I got to teach them to play, and that was about it. I know they were new, but it was sort of painful to watch, for several reasons:
1. They were making extremely questionable strategic moves.
2. One of them ordered the Yu-Gi-Oh! FF.
3. I realized how long I've been away from Clix.
4. It reminded me that once I get back, I probably won't be playing people that aren't using resources.
5. I realized that even without resources, Heroclix can be a rather tough game to teach people.
6. One of their dice rolls reminded me of my own (Crit Hit into a Crit Miss).
7. The figures themselves looked different. I wonder if this is what deployment goggles are?
8. It made me insanely jealous that I didn't have my own insane collection to plop on the field, nor any of my custom dice.
But, if things go well like I hope they do, I should be home just in time for my store's Month 4 WoL event, and I can go right back into being frustrated by the game! Just like the good ol' days!

Home is currently in Washington state, but I've heard that people often get switched duty stations shortly after a deployment, though I really don't know if that's truth or a rumour.
