Well, as you're learning, not everyone drafts thematically. The person who drafted Bear42's team (don't remember who), chose Shazam and Green Lantern as the core. They then drafted E-2 Superman later.

At the seasons end, there was a bit of a question as to which the team was, Classic or Modern. We went back and tracked down the true core, which was distinctly 'Modern', with a little Classic Superman thrown on, sans theme.

So when it comes time to "keep the core" you don't have to stay to a specific theme but can go rough? Okay. Good to know.

(And I wasn't fussing about his team...just chatting while I try to figure out my final draft, really.)

Yeah, at the end of the season you can keep 3 figures from your team, core or not or whatever. You can keep 4 if your team makes the playoffs.

for instance, my core was Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange. My first couple draft picks were Gargoyle and Hulk. I (barely) made the playoffs, so Gargy and Hulk got to stay.

Yeah you dont have to stay core but then their is the chance like of being stolen like Reddy was comes up to a thematic team

Actually I'm also debating Cosmic King so I've some sort of "movement aid" but that's because I'm a wishy-washy second-guesser when building teams.

Interesting but just a thing to consider before you make the pick Rokk in this league we have what are called injuries and potentially season ending injuries. Right now you have only the Persuader with an REV which will mean if a team member gets hurt you will have a hard time filling in the gaps
