Portland is a port city with a bunch of cool stuff to do around the wharf. IT was easily walkable and worth spending at least 2 days there.

So for Labor Day I ended up grillilng burgers, corn on the cob, and potatoes for a late lunch. I ate way too much and then fell asleep. Great day. You dudes?

Sprained my ankle in public, due to some wonky sidewalk elevation differences. 2 parallel sections managed to be about 1 inch different and it was just enough for my ankle to roll and my drink to go flying into the air as I fell on the concrete at lunch today. It was glorious. My kids enjoy the brown and blue discoloration and the skinned knee...they are used to being the ones with booboos all the time

Big storm blew through the area tonight and knocked a tree down across the road 2 houses from us. That's kind of exciting for these parts.

I shaved my head a month ago.
My hair had pretty much given up on top and was just growing out on the sides of my head. Saving about $3/year on shampoo now too.


Also got contacts for the first time ever at about the same time. That sucks still, the in/out process is not easy for me.

Nope, we didn't have school yesterday. A nice 5 day vacation with beautiful weather until a big storm early evening last night.

I was walking in front of an amazing BBQ joint in Bay City as I headed out to some outdoor seating waiting for my lunch. A couple guys walking into the same place saw me fall and asked if I was ok. I was a bit flummoxed but was able to get up and walk gingerly around. Looks kinda ugly today but then again, so do I, so it's all good.
