It is more that the yellow ribbon weekend is a mandatory relaxation type weekend anyway, and it doesn't matter if you've had 3 overseas combat tours or 1. You still go through the same thing every time (for all practical purposes). It is personal flaw of mine that I can totally see a group of young troops, or even some experienced guys, skipping out on class X or Y in order to go to a game. It won't be a career killer at all, but I guarantee you that I'll end up having to generate a few new policies and (ughh) some mandatory brief to tell guys not to do something "bad".
If they hadn't been so stupid as to post it on Facebook, then they would never have been confronted on it. We'll see how it pans out. Obviously if it was any sort of serious or sensitive investigation I wouldn't be shooting the breeze with you guys about it.


Pacific Rim was very enjoyable! Loved the Ron Perlman bit at the end. For whatever reason, everybody else left the theatre before the little end skit except for me.


In other news, it is goddamn hot!
