So can someone explain the possession special power to me.

Entity Possession: When Entity would be KO'd or, if you pay 25 points when building your force, place Entity on another friendly character's card if that character is 25 points or more, has the fist or sharpshooter symbol, the shield or indomitable symbol, and the Tiny Size or burst symbol. That character has Entity's keywords and can use the Possessed ability with this character as the Possessor. When that character is KO'd, Entity is removed from the game Possessed: Click the Possessor's dial the same click number as this character and change it during the game in the same way that this character's dial changes. At the beginning of each of your turns or after this character takes or is healed of damage and actions resolve, you may choose 1 power showing on one Possessor's dial and 1 combat value on one Possessor's dial higher than this character's printed combat value. This character can use that power and modifies that combat value by +1 until your next turn or until it is healed or takes damage. If the Possessor is turned to a KO click, it is removed from the game immediately. Flow of Life: At the beginning of your turn, you may heal one adjacent character without the Black Lantern Corps Keyword 1 click Cosmic Life: Entity can use Regeneration and the Quintessence team ability. When turning the dial, if this click is revealed due to damage taken from an opponent's attack, stop turning the dial. This power can't be ignored.

Cosmic Hope Adora can use Perplex, but only to increase combat values. Adora can use the Quintessence team ability.
Edit: After re-reading it, it appears the combat value is not replaced then modified. It is only modified.
If I'm reading it right, it sounds like for 25 points you can attach it to any character with appropriate symbols to borrow a power and modify a combat value currently showing on the chase's dial that's higher than your own by +1.
So click one of Parallax means if your attack on your possessed guy is a 10, you can choose that 12 attack on Parallax to get +1 to your attack and Cosmic Fear power to get a 11 attack with Perplex that subtracts only and the Quintessence TA.
I don't see anything labeling these Lantern Entities as being Resources. So you can add those in on top of all this? Yikes.
Couple questions I'm not sure of yet:
Can more than one Lantern Entity possess a single character? And does that mean you can choose one power and one combat value from each?
If you have the White Lantern "The Entity" attached, when turning the dial, does the special defense power "Cosmic Life" take effect, thus giving your possessed guy a stop click?

Nothing in the rules text states that Possession is exclusive, so it looks like if you're crazy enough and have them, you can totally Possess a figure with all seven emotional entities, the Life entity, and still use a resource. Do it right and you could have +8 in combat value modifiers to throw around (rule of 3, though), be using 8 different powers, and always have access to Quintessence TA even before resource use. Bonkers! Watch out for Outsiders though, because then you'll be very sad-panda when it comes to all those modifiers.

Also covered earlier, but: It looks like this works only if the attack would deal you more than four damage in a single action if you started on click 4, or more than 3 damage if you started on click 8, because you would have to have already chosen Cosmic Life by being on that click and if you take less damage then you would have to choose again (meaning a different powers howing on the dial because Cosmic Life only shows up every four clicks) after those actions resolve. You also actually have to have a dial long enough to reach the next stop-click down.

So yeah, you can plop all 8 on one guy, if you want to like totally waste 175 points. Seems pretty clear to me that you only get one +1 and one power, no matter how many entities you've got.
I am SO not complaining if he also has the Possession mechanic. So nine borrowed powers and +9 in modifiers to throw around. I believe the appropriate phrase is now 'bananas' instead of 'bonkers'.

Good catch! Missed that on my reads through. If I had to guess, some people will still try to play two entities on one figure to try and maximize borrowing of the Quintessence TA by special power, but that would still be pushing practicality in 300 and probably not worth the opportunity cost. I'll leave that up to someone else to figure out.
Now, I DO get to use this as an example of playtesting and/or balance and forethought about how things might get broken when we all gripe about how insane the game design and meta is getting, right?
