6 boosters in and still no gems. Uggh. I wish the gems weren't my main concern with the set, as Wizkids' mishandling of them has negatively affected the set for me so much.
That Prime Falcon seems really interesting.
That Shield generic is probably the worst generic I've ever seen. Limited perplex that also helps the opponent. Dang that's awful.
18 Defend and Shield TA make up for it handidly. Totally worth 20 points.
Ok, random insert Gems seem out now. Still possible, but at 6/10 boosters opened, that's some bad ofds thus far.
Here's hoping it's not all upper rarities.
Seems pretty likely, I mean hopefully theres another youtuber that gets a brick before release to open to show the distribution but I'm strongly on the side of canceling my preorder. Aside from any objects having high meta potential or any objects tied to a chase I assume things will start to drop in price.

Ya just have to be judicious... See that pushed guy over there by himself? perplex him up. That hulk with no charge and battle fury? Or Aquaman's plain fish? It won't be hard to come up with options.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
Do the colours on the back of the cards look a bit weird for anyone else? Not sure if it's a camera thing on Scotts end or the cards but I thought that Proxima had battle fury instead of exploit weakness until I went back to look at her card again.
Scott, you probably know this by now, but that symbol on the ABPI Prime Falcon's Redwing bystander is Autonomous.
It's a backwards fist with a bar through it.
That character's actions do not count against your action total.

Or upping defense and giving the boost to someone you dont plan on attacking
Falcon is really good. Basically a must-play with any Captain America. So much support (and thematic!) for Steve. It'll be fun to play him with the Chase.
Because these are the well-known Elders that I *want* to use. I'm pretty well versed in comics, and I don't know any of the Elders you listed. Which isn't to say they shouldn't be made- but their inclusion here was surely a matter of theme and name recognition, while their dials were designed to allow them to be used on teams not dedicated to them.
We still have the full-power Runner and full-power Champion; why not add a 'cameo' option?
Because those characters aren't "normal characters" in the Marvel Universe. It's the same as making Captain America 300 points. It doesn't make comic book sense. The Elders are all cosmic spanning powerhouses. If you're playing them, you're playing cosmic powerhouses. If WK wants to fill out a specific dial/power set, find a character that fits that. Don't force a square peg into a round hole.
Otherwise, from now on let's just have a set of all Spider-man where he has all the different roles you'd need. TK? Sure. Mind Control? Poison? Pulse Wave? Why not? We can make any character do what we want it to do.
I know Heroclix is a game based on comic books and there's a competitive element to it, but I'd like to see the figures actually reflect what their comic book counterparts can do.
Or bonus, up the AV on a mind control piece *and its target*.
18 D Defend and Shield TA are also great all by themselves.

Exactly. Don't perplex the damage of the bruiser lined up to smash your heavy hitter. There HAS to be someone inconsequential. And if using it will hurt too much? Don't use it! You're not required to perplex.
Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
Astronomer is ridiculous. Sam Wilson is ridiculous.
He would've been ridiculous with outwit. As he is now....hes just pretty good. He's only sporting a 3 damage and what....can prob through elevated? He REALLY needed outwit.

You're conflating 'power scale' with 'powers'. I'm not asking for a Gardener with Hypersonic Speed. I'm asking for a Gardener who does what the Gardener does, but isn't the focal point of my team's narrative.
Let's use Runner as an example.
Most of the Runner's appearances are distinctly non-combative, so the idea of building my team around a high-cost Runner seems... well, almost as 'inaccurate' as having a Runner who can't survive heavy fire. But as a largely pacifist character, I can easily accept a quick KO as 'leaving the battle'.
Let's say I'd like to recreate one of Runner's appearances. As a member of the Elders of the Universe, I need budget options or I can't build a 'team' of them at all. His other appearances largely revolve around racing other fast characters; to build a team like that, this Runner is again a perfect representation.
The only time this Runner would fail to re-create a comic appearance, as far as I can find, is in battle with a cosmic powerhouse such as Thanos or Galactus. At those times, I assume I'd just reach for the IG Runner...
