I donated today, I'm excited to see and choose my colors. Also, the peanut base was my selling point. I don't often use duos, but when I do I'd like to mark them with my team. Awesome idea Hair! Can't wait! Excited to choose my color too! (how will that/ when will that happen btw?)
Well, when you pick up the fig the base won't come with it as they don't fit that tightly (purposely designed that way).
You're not the first person to suggest something like this so I have a serious question... how often do you use the old rings?? I haven't picked up one of those rings since Superman came out. In fact, part of why I love the oreo bases is that I don't have to mess with the rings to tun the dials. So, fom my perspective, I'm at a loss for why somebody would want something designed with those rings in mind. I don't mean that as a slam on anyone's preference, I'm just trying to understand. Can you (or anyone else) shed some light on it?
I asked about the notches because I thought they would be snug. If they were snug, I would have hated to pull them off just to turn the dial. This was also before I saw your final designs as well. I like them.

Acid Lake (lightish blue)
Blue
Flourescent Yellow
Fruit Punch Magenta (pinkish)
Grape Candy
Green Sea (lighter green)
Red
Silver
Yellow
Natural (only by request... whitish color that will probably be good for painting if someone wants to do that)
I also think I'm going to add Green and Safety Orange to the mix. I'm just waiting for the orange to get back in stock.
I might also have to swap out the silver. I tried several things tonight and I'm just not having good luck with it. It doesn't flow well and it's ending up fairly brittle. Might be something to do with the metallic color so I'm thinking about swapping it out and getting grey instead. I plan on running a couple more tests with it tomorrow night so we'll see.

Safety, ORANGE!
You can use Orange if you want to
You've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it, never gonna lose it
Everything'll work out right
I say, you can use Orange if you want to
You can leave Natural behind
'Cause if don't use Orange and if you don't use Orange
Well you're no friend of mine!
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
I'm hoping that you get Green, because I have the old ID Rings in Green, and even if they don't match exactly, it'd still be nice if they're close. Barring that, I might actually go with Purple, because the one you did for Joker looked great!
Trades: WITH WoL H/W, also looking for Mandarin Rings, DoFP Rares & Nimrod

I will be getting green. It was out of stock when I placed my initial order but it's back in now. I'm just giving it a few days to see if I can get orange with it (and decide if I need grey to replace silver).

Oh, yeah, I'd want them to match my old ones, but my old rings were in this ### orange-yellow colour. Maybe it's time to upgrade to a nicer shade. I'm feeling purple, maybe. HmmMMmm.
Don't know why I waited so long to post here for a bump (was a very early contributor). I am excited for you and this project going ahead as it has. Here's hoping we reach the 200% mark!
I can understand why you went with the open bottom look to the ring (it saves money in the fact that less resin is used) but still it would have been nice to have had a solid base, so a person could personalize the bottom with a painted design.
Small want compared to the overall scheme of things.
Again, I am very glad this is going to work for you, and excited to see the rings in October!
I'm way more excited for the object tokens than the peanut bases. Maybe it's just the two colors at once that makes them cooler to me. Or maybe it's the fact that they've been a much bigger challenge. Either way, I can't wait to get a prototype created and a pic posted.

It's not just material, it's time. Each ring takes about 10 min to make, plus start up time (heating all the elements). I'm doing 4 at a time right now which takes about 45 min. Adding a solid base would have also cost me a lot more time.

Maybe you will get enough from the Kickstarter to buy a 2nd printer!

True enough, though you need something for most of the duo based Chaos War figs. It's like the Avengers set all over again. (I know, not even related to your product)
So, if you add Green and Orange to the mix, we end up with more than 10 colors. For those of us at the $150 level, will we get to pick which 10 colors we want for our ten sets?
Also, I'm curious how the 10 peanut bases will work. Do they all have to be in the same color, or can we get like 3 of X color, 2 of Y and 5 of Z? Or at least 5 and 5 of two different colors?
