Yea, but can they not get it at all from the distributor? Or they just don't currently have it in stock?

I have no idea. I haven't heard them complain about not being able to replenish their stock. I was using the example to show they are moving a lot of product. I know they are both happy with the amount of product they have sold since STAW's release.

I know they are both happy with the OP kits and the player turnout to the events.

Note, Starfield Tiles have been removed from FFG's upcoming list. So, who knows what that means.

Hilarious. It probably means it's going to drop as a surprise. ....meh, the maps people make are cool enough.



On an unofficial note, my FLGS showed me they go an email with some revised release dates from WK (I would guess in part from the recent weather effects) and it appears that Attack Wing Wave 3 will now be a Feb 26 release.

Maybe there will be an official word soon.



Edit: HA! checking on release dates it appears the Starfield Tiles have a 'buy now' option.......so they may or may not be out.

I'm going to have to check with my shop on that because I schedule all of my Dominion OP events around the release of the new waves when possible. Our store has a 1 ship buy in for the events, and most of them have all of the current releases (some in multiples). I'd for them to have to buy a ship they didn't want.

Awesome! I'm mostly covered, but would love a set of Klingon bases. A fair bit cheaper than I've seen them go for on the secondary market, for the most part, too.

Colored bases are the one thing that I wish XW would bring over from AW.

You aren't the only one to think that Hair......most of the SW players here considered joining in on AW specifically for the colored bases.

Small X-wing Update.

Wave 4 (Z-95, E-wing, TIE Defender, TIE Phatom) announced, projected for Q2.

Capital ships are also projected for Q2.

Also, it seems a reprint is in the works for the Interceptor, A-wing, and the whole of Wave 3.

Sweet.

Lot of expanded universe ships in that wave 4. Glad to see it too.

IIRC the a few times the FFGs Team members asked about that have been quite adamant that is not in their current plans.

Things change of course but I wouldn't think it would happen anytime soon.

I've read or seen most of the sources that this stems from and it's all early development interviews between the first and second waves.

Also it seems as though every time I read this it was coupled with the idea that FFG would never delve into the creation of ships from the expanded universe.

Honestly, it comes from the designer talking about balance. Any new faction that is introduced into X-wing, is going to be at a disadvantage. The sheer number of ships and pilots that Rebels and Imperials have is just going to increase. How do you balance a third faction against the sheer variety Rebels and Imperials can field. And how do you do that and not shortchange the existing factions with new ships? Which is why any PT stuff would likely be it's own, separate but equal game. Much like how Heroclix first started.

And I never saw them not going into the EU. There was a comment early on about having plans for a ton of ships, easily out pacing the number of movie ships.
