I'm back. I chose Cbob as my vote target because I assumed he would be alive and willing to say something. I am leaving it there for now, as I feel like his posting pattern this game has been suspicious, but I am willing to pull out.
Suspicious how?
I don't like how wishy-washy this post is. "He's suspicious but I'm totally willing to stop voting for him."
Well, the demogorgon provided a very real clock vs the town, so early pressure made sense there in a way that may not apply to other games, regardless of the plurality voting. I don't see a similar mechanic for Killgrave, but maybe it is just worded differently and I am not seeing it.
True, I meant the fact the a plurality lynch makes any votes more telling. That was pointed out post-game by some experienced players.

I agree with this, I don't think the incentive to lynch here is nearly as strong as it was in Stranger Things. That doesn't mean I'm not willing to lynch today, though.
*shrug* I like you better. Afrcngy second, probably. The possibility that you and Mal are both mafia and manufactured a fight over something small, only to both move on to voting for quiet players, is high enough I feel it's worth pursuing.
So how about dropping a little info? Nothing like a full claim, of course, but perhaps which show you're from, or your description?
Umm, as it stands right now, you would get lynched before I would. Ergo, you should be offering the bolded. At least, that's how I see it. And saying that Afrcngy is second while calling both mal and myself out seems odd. Like, you'd lynch me first, Afrcngy second, and mal third. But the reason on mal is the same as the reason on me. Call me confused.

The Mafia win condition makes lynches a bit more risky. Getting info on day 1 is still useful though.

Not that I particularly want to defend him, but it's only been a day. This seems a little weird to me that you think one post is suspicious.

Stranger Things had four Mafia roles, but only Three ended up in the game. With 19 roles prepared for the game, it seems likely that slots 1-5 are all Mafia roles but not all made it into the game.
Quite interesting that Wilson is Mafia role #2 but apparently required to be in the game. Makes me curious about what role is #1...
Maybe Diamondback or Cottonmouth's cousin?

Welcome to mafia!
The more I think about it, the more I like voting for TSP, though I am not a fan of CBob making the blanket statement of "oooh voting for quiet ones how scummy!"
If the quiet people drop a vote then make themselves scarce? In a game like this? That IS scummy dude, at least to me.

Yeah, it's a blast.
I'm just a little pissed that I floated a theory and got pressure for it. Seriously. I tried to be helpful, discuss some options because it's day 1 and we don't know much of anything yet. I even put a list there for people to examine. And I'm the one who gets pressure? It comes off counter-intuitive. And no one even responded to my other idea about mafians having alt-win conditions.
Is it wrong that I find cbob's voting peculiar? Like he votes for me because me and mal having a mild argument is suspicious, but Ignatz who was also part of that sequence was left out. He says Afrcngy is suspicious but doesn't bring up TSP who did basically the same thing (show up, random post, offer nothing much). He votes for me having nothing to do with my earlier idea yet several people took issue with it.
I'm genuinely asking here because I'm the object of his vote. I don't think I'm objective about it.

No, voting for quiet players isn't scummy. But it's also not especially townie, particularly this early. If I was mafia picking a fake fight with a buddy, it's what I would do. I don't think that scenario is particularly likely, but I found it intriguing enough to ask for a small bit of info from IR. If he's town it should be pretty easy to find a piece of info that doesn't give anything important away. If he's mafia it narrows down the fake claims he can make. If he's neutral, same as town. It's not really a huge ask.

You don't need everyone to post for that.
(Total joke, just couldn't resist the setup...)

I'm pressuring you less due to the theory and more to how you've responded to everything. Very defensive.
That said, I'm not reading you as strong scum right now.

Ignatz hadn't voted, and his vote later on makes me feel good about him. I didn't like how you dragged him into it (which you did explain), and I didn't like how you and mal voted for each other, then rather suddenly both changed to different quiet posters.
TSP posted super early on in the phase and dropped a vote (good!) He's still had plenty of time to get back on. Not suspicious. Meanwhile Afrcngy posted after some substantial discussion and votes were made, but didn't say much. He's usually fairly quiet anyway, but I think he's a decent vote.
(Now, I don't like TSP's posts since he came back, but that's a separate issue).

He dropped a vote and that was all. And in this game, that's still a decent shot at lynching someone given the rules. Then he fled for a while.
To me, that's pretty suspect. His later posts don't help either.
