I just bought my first FI booster and as big suprise mech in it was "Black Rose". It seems to be thought but most SW players won't consider it very though. How you JF fans see your "faction leader mech"?

If they up the build total to 600, she's a god. In a 450, she has a couple of limiting factors. She will destroy mechs and vehicles but has trouble with infantry. If you can jam some ballistic support in with her, bombs away.
But she'll destroy mechs and vehicles. Hardcore. :)
Vapor Eagle is the clan name for the Goshawk just like Summoner/Thor and Timberwolf/Mad Cat and so on.
I knew the Summoner/Thor and Timberwolf/MadCat from the Mech Assault games, I had just never heard the term Vapor Eagle. Thanks for letting me know. I thought it may be the Goshawk, but wasn't sure.

It's an old TRO 3055 (I think) reference. And it adds to the mystique :)

your not the only one i always have CJF in a build it seems and i didnt know till today that a vapor eagle was a goshawk.. i was starting to get upset too cause i thought no one liked it :p
here is an army i ran and did quite well with at Marcon in Columbus Ohio.
now it is mostly df with some CJF but i want to make it all CJF. and the cool thing is this army is simple and pretty much anyone with firepower has the pieces to run it.
DF Goshawk
aod df lance corporal? 0/2/1 i think
heavy armor
DF glory attack tank
2x DF r10 icv
DF mars tank
CJF mars tank
3 df shock troops
600 points even
wen i swapped out the df mars and V.E for CJF it put me at 591 :ermm: has anyone tried running a format like this? i destroyed an army with pillar and bounty hunter and also a blackrose army so the setup is a good starter army especially for newer players.
Althought Steel Wolves are now my primary faction i never stopped playing Jade Falcons so here is my new army after getting "Black Rose":
"Black Rose"Shrike
*Malvina Hazen
JF Long Tom
5x JF Trackbike
TOTAL: 449pts.
Its new version of old theme that uses "Black Rose" with Malvina Hazen as its mech instead of Shone Roshak. Trackbikes are basers and Long Tom is for artillery support. As big gun of this army i expect very much from "Black Rose".

Depending on your pulls, it might be worthwhile to swap a Trackbike or two for Raidens. The Raidens aren't as fast, but have better life and jump jets early on. Also, as foot, they can capture.
Alternatively, if you find your Long Tom dying a lot, you could go for a Saxon/Saxon/Thunder to replace it. With that build you'd hit 450 exactly (assuming my back of the notepad numbers are right) and you could swap a single Trackbike for a Raiden to put in the other Saxon. The Saxons and 4 Trackbikes would make great basers, the Thunder gives you some pogs to make people unhappy and you can Saxon slingshot a Raiden into base with someone if you felt like it.
Alright, in an effort to try and blow off steam (without blowing things up. Ah the benefits computer gaming), here is a very quickly designed army for the scenario "Snakes in the Grass"
:^: Zeus + G. Commander Hazen = 274 points
:^^: Vapor Eagle + Tamar = 140 points
:^^^: Sylph Battle Armor x3 = 90 points
:^^: Trackbikes x6 = 96 points
600 points
Very fast, with plenty of basers for the Eagle, while the Galaxy Commander uses the Inner Sphere own weapons against them. After all with 12 attack, 22 defence, she can hit based targets, but is not likely to be hit by them.

Thoughts?
Deoending on what you've got available, it might be worthwhile to drop some Trackbikes for Raidens. It gives you a bit less mobility, but the Raidens benefit from the +1 DV and can move through the hindering as well as the Trackbikes. If the Raidens lose JJs, the same hit would have maimed the Trackbikes, so it's not a complete loss. Plus, it gives you capture love. :)
A battle force designed for getting the best of those infurryating grey tree-dwellers... :p
Squirrel Alpha Splat
:^^: Star Commander Barret, Vapor Eagle (GHK-S2F-M-P18G38) 181 points Chassis GHK-S2F-M 130 points Pilot P-018 (Sakhara) 14 points Gear G-038 (Pulse) 37 points
:^^: Mechwarrior Keeble, Jaguar (JGR-20-L-P2) 107 points Chassis JGR-20-L 98 points Pilot P-002 (Albion) 9 points
2 x :^^^: Raiden Battle Armor 16/32 points
2 x :^^^: Hadur Fast Support Vehicle 50/100 points
:^^^: Sylph Battle Armor 30 points
450 points
SEE! How the GHK brings Merciless Death upon the furry ones' heads!
Grin! As the Jaguar pursues the the tiny blighters and runs them down!
Smirk! As twin Hadurs rain fiery mayhem at the small nut-gatherers!
Cackle with glee! As the Raiden kick back with a few bevvies for the Hadur crew while starting a spit roast in preparation for squirrel kebabs for all!
And actually, it's pretty good, anyhoo - swap the Pulse and the JGR for a second GHK P18 variant - much goodness to be had! :devious:

If i remember right, orginal version used 4x JF EBAs instead of 5x JF Trackbikes but i wanted more speed than just 8. I don't currently have any JF Raidens so that much wait if i will change them. Also i would need JF Saxon and JF TTL.
