In answer to this thread, the best deck for the upcoming format? If I had to take a blind stab I'd say a version of the X-mental deck running Absolute Dominance over Total Anarchy could "Take the gold". You get a lot of abusive repeating engine (remember the location/ongoing hate? They can do it every turn); Dominance would shut down the frankie raye engines; and against other stall decks they have the ultimate finisher with Rachael (and Galactus Turn 9, if they want to go that far).
But that's just a blind guess... I'm looking forward to the 10Ks to get the real answer :).
Andrew Bircher: No... I've never played magic and hope to keep it that way... My teamates just always call mr. Mxy "squee" and it's gotten in my head...
JVirtue: Migga city is just a good deck because the "lost city/graveyard recursion" is one of the, if not the best combat modifier in the game. Stonewalling IS an off innitiative trick. The Fact that it's anti rush isn't an "unsearchable x3 hope to draw in right matchups" flame trap, and it's got searches for all the pieces. Is what makes it a good deck overall.
The Deranged bear: Once upon a time i thought about a migga city decklist with Stardust on 4. Then i realized the recruits go as follows
Turn 1: Something if you have it
Turn 2: Ivy/hatter
Turn 3: Hatter effect +other of the combo
Turn 4: Stardust
My opponent then stuns my board because i'm still not a brotherhood and i lose my board (which loses the game)...
(not trying to sound mean. Just pointing it out) since migga city ALWAYS plays a brotherhood character on 4. It Wants ivy on board all time. Many times your turn 5 recruit will be ivy &scarlet witch if you got reign'ed on 4 Or are playing against total anarchy. IVY IS YOUR FRIEND!
You Either Go with a 4 drop brotherhood on 4, or against odd matchups (like child lock ones) you go scarlet witch and another hatter activation. But you DO play a brotherhood character on 4...
UN Building: UN Building Is easily a Great team up. At Worst you team up arkham/brotherhood/injuctice gang. And What you WANT to team up is Heralds/arkham/brotherhood. When you can +3/3 anyone, Free recruits get aWHOLE lot better, since they can't just declare on your frankie and force you to ivy right away (since you WANT to let them attack your real guys, use avalon with pumps, and then ko frankie for another avalon) (stuff like that is pretty much a guarantee brickwall)
Mystique replacement: Mystique really is the best 4 drop brotherhood... Every deck that's combat you generally win. Any deck that's not combat plays "activate" abilities which is why mystique is insane. I still think you'd want her... But if you want a replacement... The original winning build played blob...
And as for which 6 drop mystique i meant... I meant the one with the leader ability... Not the horrible one...
And then the 1 safehouse is if you need another team teamed up... Or if your playing against a deck with betrayal and want the safe bet...
Michael Jacob: I always love the tdc decks, and generally build them for myself. I was just curious, but what do you think about x1 time thief? If you played a "creation of a herald" search you'd be able to get it online turn 3 with x1 doomstadt.
Or if you just went with your guys' (probably best) build you can still get it on turn 5 when he's recruited (that's the turn he's generally recruited right?) and use it. It would get rid of Stuff like ra's al ghul/carnage, or if you went with the "get by turn 3" approach you could steal scarlet witch from their deck. (assuming they don't have an enemy they can play AT that moment... Which is why it might not be that amazing... But just something i was wondering about)
So yea... Just curious on your oppinion of the idea. If you'd posted a reply it would be highly appreciated.

i think global dominaion is a pretty good idea but they will prob just Ivy t the location you targeted. In the end it doesnt hurt them that much,but Ego the living planet worked well for TDc from what i saw so maybe...
You forgot their Scarlet Witch weakness, but the rest seems good.
There really isn't a weekness to Scarlet Witch. I don't think that any of us lost a game at PCLA to a Scarlet Witch. I actually remember a feature match with Matt (I think) that after losing dispite playing a witch, his opponent turned to his teammate and complained that he was told that she just beats TDC stall. It is simply not true. In a normal deck, she gets responed to, then Merlyned on the next turn. We take some damage, maybe as much as 30, but in the decks that can drop her, it doesn't matter. I could potentially see a problem with her in the Crisis deck. Doom, into Witch into Supermanhunter could be troublesome, but the plan would probably just involve playing a bad curve deck vs a bad curve deck.
I still think that titans is the best deck. if you add in tech to deal with the stall deck you could beat them. I could have something like have a blast and get rid of thanagar. then i can betrayal. To get rid of all the low drops i can use teen titans go. Also, i can get rid of Dr. light or poison ivy with Removed from C.
Once you get to a certain level, I don't know that you can narrow it down to a "best" deck. Pretty much all that can be done is maybe a top five list. Different decks will have inherent strengths and weaknesses, but the deal breaker is the tech. Foiled, Ka-bumm, Betrayal, NTZ etc can swing a matchup.
For example, take any good deck that has a hard time against Titans, and then, add Political Pressure. Ouch... Titans is a great deck, but there's mad tech out for it right now.
I don't see how titans could possibly be the best deck in the format with so many decks running reign of terror. I've never seen titans win a game when they get double reigned on turn 4 before they can play Terra.
