The obvious tie in was with First Contact via Zephrym Cochrane. The other tie in to TNG was that they said it would take 200yrs for the subspace message to get to the Delta Quadrant for the Collective to hear. That put is right around the time of TNG's first encounter with the Borg, right? Thinking back, maybe DS9 covered the Gamma Quadrant, not the Delta Quadrant. Voyager covered the Delta Quadrant for sure though. Incidentally, doesn't the term "quadrant" imply that there's only four of them?
*sigh* *puts on Trekkie hat*
DS9 discovered a wormhole to the Gamma quadrant, where the Dominion (kind of an evil Federation) ruled. Voyager was stuck in the Delta quadrant with the Borg and a few other new-for-that-series races. Supposedly, the Delta Quadrant was the farthest away -- but they still ran into Klingons and Ferengi there. Go figure.
For the record, Earth, Vulcan, and the Klingon homeworld are in the Alpha Quadrant, near the edge with Beta. Romulous is supposedly on the other side of the Alpha/Beta line -- but most of the original series and TNG occur so close to the line, they just decides that everyone refers to Alpha and Beta as 'The Alpha Quadrant'. It's like... Minneapolis and St. Paul. Tell people you're from St. Paul, and they go "Huh?", so you eventually just tell people you're from Minneapolis, and they get it.

Speaking of Trek, I was just watching the Star Trek movie. Funny how you pick up on things you missed the first time around. Like Scotty making mention of Admiral Archer and his prized beagle being the first live specimen in a transporter experiment. Poor Prometheus, they still can't find him apparently.

... Porthos.
Dammit, I never took off the Trekkie Hat, did I...
