It occurred to me tonight that they are doing Beast Boy and Wonder Twins in this set but they appear to only be doing the AE treatment to BB. I'm not sure if the Wonder Twins have a following to warrant multiple figures. A Ice Giant and pterodactyl would be a cool duo though.

Boneyard, so what's the scoop? You're continuing to list 64 figures even though it's been advertised for a couple months as a 60 figure set. What's the dealio? Inquiring minds want to know!

Notice that 1) We haven't seen a final dial top for WT&G and 2) BB does not have AE printed on his dial top, so he is probably getting an all new mechanic (something that WT might be getting as well??)

Right, at least as far as Beast Boy*, as we've seen the human and T-Rex versions, each with a Trait star and each at 60 points, leading many (most?) of us to believe they'll be able to swap out so long as they remain on the same numbered click. I don't know if there's been any official statement of it, but a rumor's circulating that we'll have some 60 pt version of him at all four rarity levels -- so, presumably, two other, green animals, one each in the Uncommon and Rare slots. The prospects for all of this mark my high point of interest so far in the set.

* No comment from me on the Wonder Twins speculation as a) as you noted we have no more info on their appearance than what we've seen and b) I simply have no interest in them. Should I pull one the only reason I might keep it would be if it is if I think one of the people I play home games with might like to play it; my first impulse will be to sell it, especially if it's an SR.

The upswing is, if they do BB this way, we won't need to see him again for a few years. If they design the dial well, we may see future versions of BB that are COMPATIBLE with this model/figure.

I hiiiiighly doubt this. Why would they make a figure than cannot be fielded without another figure. We know from the AE mechanic that they do not want to do this, so why would they disappoint us with this idea? I imagine that they will all have the same keywords, as they are the same character. One of the plus sides of switching to the common is you can use his TAs. Also, I imagine that if you pull the Dino, you will get all 4 in the same booster, similar to the U-Foes.

A novel idea, though I'd rather see BB & one animal variation per booster - imagine the nightmare of a sealed event. Having multiple versions to switch into, while fun, would eliminate a lot of options for team building.

True, but I would totally play it. Think about it, take your T-Rex into the fray, and when he is KOed, switch out another one for it. The more that get KOed, the more versatile the remaining ones become (I for one can't wait to play 5 BBs in a 300 point team).

Outside of Doomsday and Bane, I can care less for all the remakes. Didn't we get enough remakes in B&tB? IF these are the confirmed figures on this list, I really hope that most of the non-confirmed figures are not the ones that will be in our next set.
