MERCS FOR MONEY: Each time another friendly character with the Heroes for Hire keyword KO's an opposing character, heal Slapstick 1 click. GIANT HAMMER: Slapstick can use Giant Reach: 2 I'VE GOT A BAD CASE OF MALLETOSIS: When an opposing character takes damage from Slapstick's attack, after actions resolve, the opposing character can't move during its next turn and is immediately given an action token.

Have SHIKLAH written up but cant make out the range. So if somebody can make out if its a 5 or 6 range I will put her up.
Based on today's previews alone, seems like the indomitable embargo has been lifted a lil bit. Slapstick's dial is pretty extreme on top of indom for 75 points, which could easily walk all over most of the 50 pt X-Men we saw from UXM.
Sooooo instead of more word bubbles, they switched to comic panels. I can't decide if that is lazy in its similarity or lame in the abandonment of a previous mechanic.
Other than that, these previews have me excited! Glad to get Killbrew, hoping for Fenway and CF.

I'm going with "lame." Not a Hank Pym fan, but I thought it was classy when the AOU Uncommon Yellowjacket provided a means for any of the new morphing Pyms to turn into any of the old morphing Pyms. Rewards longtime fans in Golden Age games, which don't ever really happen competitively anyway, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Credit where due, though, I like the A/B thing. Shared traits as a way to bring specific thematic unity within larger keywords is one of my favorite trends in the game over the last year (Superior to the Other Guys foes, All New X-Men, Civil War movie Avengers, etc.). And then theyre doing that twice per character, each with a preexisting but not super common keyword. I'm about it.

I'm The Deadpool... Brand Mercenary You Hired: Once per action for all characters with this trait, when another friendly character with the Deadpool Corps keyword would be KO'd, you may instead turn that character to its last non-KO click, then heal it 3 clicks. If you do, KO one friendly character with this trait. If We're Going On An Aquatic Mission, We'll Need A Deep-Pool: Stingray modifies his defense value by +2 when occupying water terrain.

Wow. Lackluster dial and no Avengers KW means that the character I wanted most from this set isn't one I want anymore. Ugh.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
Going to post some of the dials from Porter's video that haven't been put up yet:

Whoever pays the bills: When Mercenary would be KO'd by an attack, the attacker's controller rolls a D6. On a result of 4-6, Mercenary is instead added to that player's force on click #3 and that player scores 35 victory points.

Shifting Focus: ... The first cut is the deepest: Deadpool can use Flurry, but can only make the second attack if he deals 3 or more damage during the first attack. No sharper than a serpent's tooth. A sword.: Deadpool can use Blades/Claws/Fangs. When he does, the minimum result for his D6 roll is his printed damage value.

Ancient Succubus: Shiklah begins the game on click 4. Shiklah can use Steal Energy. When she does, she may heal past her starting line. Protect my idiot husband: Once per game when a friendly character named Deadpool takes damage from an opponent's attack, after actions resolve you may place Shiklah adjacent to him. If you do, you may remove an action token from her. Monsterous transformation: At the end of your turn, you may replace Shiklah with Shiklah #53 on the same click number.

Mutation Enhancement: UNIQUE MODIFIER - When an adjacent friendly character hits, if its attack value is higher than its printed value, increase the damage dealt to one hit target by 1. Late redemption: Dr. Killbrew can use Perplex, but only to increase combat values. Dr. Killbrew can use Support. When he does, replace his attack value with his target's attack value.
Thoughts on the Porter video #1 pieces:
Mercenary generic is garbage, 50% chance opponent scores 35pt and gets another character for their force is really bad.
Massacre is average, with his low AV and DV and full dial of Charge and high damage potential.
Chipmunk Hunk is incredible, 20pt free action Quake after using L/C to get into position is a steal.
Dr. Killbrew is a good support piece, cheap Outwit, Perplex, and Support with a damage increasing(rather than modifying so it gets around Nighthawk Prime)SP is solid for 35pt.
I already ranted about Shiklah in a previous post, but seriously, Wizkids, what the hell is with the non-ranged SE when she has ZERO close combat powers?
Deadpool(Blade)is a damage machine, not really a lot to say other than 2/? Shifting Focus Deadpools are very good for their points.
Not seeing a whole lot of balance in these shifting focus deadpools

Increase is still defined as a modification in game terms, I'm afraid

.
Why are you so quick to judge shiklah without knowing what her other dial looks like? From what I recall from the comics her other form is more suited for close combat and it seems logical that it would be a wild dial as well.
