When do you cash in non-Taco Vault tokens?

Example: So far I have two "Cosmic Chaos" tokens. I have two of the 4* heroes in there, and enough CP to roster if I pull the third. Do I cash in the tokens now, or wait for Cosmic Chaos to rotate through a few times and build up more?

I used to spend them freely. Then I realized that I could save them. By saving them you are increasing the odds of pulling something you want/need.

Thaat is awesome! getting through DDQ is one of the best feelings when starting out.

I used to save them, thinking that I could use them to get things I needed. The thing is, most of the time, I don't need what's in there. At some point I decided I would just empty out all the vaults (except Tacos), get the covers, and just redeem them as I go.

HOWEVER, I am doing this because I have all 4 stars and I know I'll have any new 4* champed within a month or so of its release. There will never be a 4* essential character that I do not have. If this were not true, I would definitely hoard vault tokens because that vault is most likely going to have the 4* you need if you don't have it.

This is why I do hoard my taco tokens. Because eventually, they will allow me to get a guaranteed 4* that's in there. Currently, I use "gets me a legendary pull" as my definition of "need". So if there's a 4* (or 2) in the taco vault (any of the 3) that I "need", I will redeem to get it. Otherwise, it just passes over to the next vault.

Lastly, since anniversary season is upon us, there WAS one year in which Taskmaster was available in the Taco vault. And that year, I got 4 covers for him from the vaults. Did a little digging and that post is here: link.

I made my fan favorite pulls.
I did 8 pulls and got one of each 5*.
I recovered four pulls from the rewards plus a Lokigator level got me a Heimdall cover.
No complaints with that.

Same. I made 1 pull and got Apocalypse,. I think I am done spending CP on the fan favorites vault.

Got 2 fan favorite tokens and then had to spend 50 CP and got another Apocalypse (4/3/4 cover. So far this is making up a bit for the fact that it took 36 pulls to get my first 5* while trying to get Shang Chi.

Also. This is the first time I have both taco vaults at 300+ pulls. I decided I take the Harpua route and only open it to get a limited character, which in this case is DEvil Dinosaur. 125 pulls got me some interesting things most notably 50 health packs, and LT, and 2000hp. I did not pull DD but the LT more than makes up for it so I stopped pulling. I spent the HP to get a 10pack in the Fan Favorite vault.

Awesome! The taco vault changed, took 119 pulls to get the LT, Taskmaster and 2,000 HP. That meant I pulled a 10 pack in the 8th anniversary vault. From that pull got the 2900 HP, which means I will pull a 10 pack tomorrow once the price resets.

My Devil Dino is at 366 now.
There are 480 shards to come from the season, I think.
I will hang onto those for now and see if I pull any more from the vault. If I do not i will use shards to get to 367 and my own anniversary will get me those last three c9vers.

That next 10 pack got me 2 FF LT pulls. I will hold on to them for later, so I can get more and then decide if I should open them, or open them and waste CP until I pull a 5*.

Favorites:
4* will the The Hydra Stomper. I've got 3 classic 5* toons to champ, each one with a feeder. Killmonger is the most meta of the 3 (the others being Wasp and Doc Ock) and Stomper being so new, has the longest distance to go.
For 5*, I'm starting with Killmonger to get him to 2,000 shards which will make him champable once Stomper gets to level 300. After I get him there (42 pulls), I'm going to switch to Ultron for about 35 pulls to get him to 500 shards. After that, I'll put shards into Odin or Shang-Chi depending on where things are.

Final Analysis -
The pull rate wasn't great (but wasn't bad either) and I got Odin where he needed to be. I feel like I made the right choice to switch to Odin, he had a burst of appearances with pulls 114 and 115. So now I just need him to be a prize again and I'll get a champ level for him, so that's not awful. Shang-Chi is sitting at 9.5 covers, so he's in good shape for next round. Lastly, if I maintain 3 pulls per day, I'll be in the same place I am now next time.

Little confused by something I saw on Reddit... Will my Fan Favorite tokens remain available after the store closes?

The Fan Favorite tokens will be accessible but as a "post event" store. Meaning if you scroll down past your standard, elite, and other tokens you will get the fan favorite store but without the cool graphics. You can open them later. It is debatable whether there is a guarantee on the odds of pulling the 8x bonus or the 5*s that are in there.

If you got 1-3 Fan Favorite pulls it and after looking over your roster my suggestion is that there is no hurting you if you open it unless you open a 5*. Even then 2 of the 3 5*s are very much worth it. You can definitely make room on your roster by getting rid of Howard the Duck and Max Champed 2* Storm.

Compared to last year I am very pleased with the Anniversary event. I wish I kept track but I estimate I made over 100 pulls across 3 vaults but spent only 3000 HP of my stash to do so. All other HP came from leveling up my toons, the taco vaults, or the anniversary vault. I am pretty sure I opened five 10-packs which includes the PVP season rewards. Add in grinding for the events, the 100HP daily token, and the daily dino tokens that was a lot of opening.

It worked out in my favor.

I can't specifically cite my pull numbers but I got 12 FF tokens and a bunch of other covers. the 12 FF tokens that I opened more sporadically in the beginning until I saved up my last bunch. I spent around 500CP in pulls as well. It paid off! Despite 1 Dr Strange pull and no Kitty, I was able to get 4 Apocalypse covers to get him to 13 covers. Just need about 100 more shards to have that 1 saved cover.

Where does that take me now? I have Scarlet Witch, Colossus, Kitty, BRB, and Apocalypse at 13 covers. I am not sure I am ready to champ any of them because I feel like that would completely mess up my PVP matchings. Not to mention needing the ISO.
