Zangief was not quite comfortable associating with the other Street Fighters. He had a strong rivalry with Chun-Li and was uncomfortable with Blanka as he disliked receiving electric shocks in their fights.

He got along well with Guile oddly enough. He admired the strong patriotism Guile showed for his country. He was of that mentality himself.

But Ken Masters annoyed him, Dee Jay confused him, Cammy made him uncomfortable, E. Honda seemed to fight in an annoying style and the others he did not know very well.

With the addition of the Flood Infection and the Flood Carriers, things were starting to go South for the Rannian defense.

Some members of the Nova Corps and the Rannian police became infected.

This was a major setback for Adam Strange and his defense team.

Day 75: Late Evening; a replicated planet Rann in an alternate reality.

Cortana was easy for the rift in reality to take. It simply collected her Data Crystal Chip which housed her personality.

Akuma was stunned at his sudden relocation. What the?

He stood up and looked around. Everything was alien to him. He was bewildered. His first thought was "How do I get back?"

As Akuma tried to make sense of where he was suddenly relocated to, he suddenly found himself face to with some bizarre creatures. They were Infected Marines and Infected Elite from the Haloverse.

Akuma waded in to destroy them.

The rift in reality opened and it spit out Cortana's Data Crystal chip, which went unnoticed.

Cortana was able to manifest from the data chip and assess the current situation. She saw a strange being (Akuma) battling several infected Marines and Elite.

She sent out a distress call on a Halo frequency and then dropped the manifestation in order to go unnoticed.

Master Chief; John 117, received Cortana's distress call and was torn.

The battle with the Covenant who were joined by the Locust hordes was heating up due to the addition of the flood infection and the carriers.

the defenders were beginning to lose.

Master Chief weighed his options and knew they would be stronger with Cortana than without.

He decided to break away from the battle to retrieve her.

Akuma swiftly did away with all the infected with no ill effects to himself.

He was still angry and confused at his sudden relocation.

Master Chief arrived and only saw Akuma standing over slaughtered Elite and Marines that had been infected by the Flood.

He looked at Akuma's monstrous visage. He did not know what to think.

He asked Akuma, "Did you destroy them?"

"What does it matter?"

"It's very important. We could use your help against a very dangerous threat."

Akuma spat. I care nothing about what you need. Tell me where I am!"

"You are on the planet Rann ----"

"The planet Rann! What are you talking about?"

"The planet Rann. You are not on your home planet, You; like us, have been forcibly relocated."

"What are you talking about?"

"It's hard to explain. You, I assume come from a reality where you are Street fighters? Is that not the right term?"

"Go on."

"Well, several others from your world are already here. People with remarkable hand to hand combat skills."

"Who? Is Ryu here?"

"Well, I'm not familiar with the names. I did not meet any of them directly."

Master Chief described a few that he'd seen. His descriptions were good enough for Akuma. Akuma demanded to know where they were.

Master Chief contacted the Rannian police and asked them to summon Ken Masters. The Rannians complied as they were under orders to completely cooperate with Master Chief and the GoW contingent.

Ken Masters and the other Street Fighters arrived to discover Akuma.

This gave pause to all of them. They had not been able to find any sign of M. Bison or the other villainous Street Fighters at all and had been inclined to give up but now they were all faced with the most notorious Street Fighter they ever heard of.

Akuma looked them all over and offered to fight all of them at once.

Ken Masters stepped forward and offered to give Akuma a rematch.

Akuma spat. "You are all beneath me. Where is Ryu? He might give me a challenge, if he has embraced Satsui no Hado."

"Ryu is not here. You diminish us by refusing our challenges."

"Do you embrace Satsui no Hado? No? Then you are no match for me. I would destroy you. Do not waste my time."

Master chief did not understand half of this exchange. He asked, Will you help us against the Covenant invasion?"

To the Street Fighters surprise, Akuma said yes and after Master Chief retrieved Cortana's data card, he led Akuma to the main battle.

The Street Fighters could not believe what they saw. Akuma was pure evil in their eyes. Why was he willing to fight the Covenant?

Captain Beyond visited Ken Masters and told him that the missing Street Fighters had been removed such as M. Bison and Balrog and Akuma was now their only concern.

The Street Fighters moved to join the resistance to the invasion.

Master Chief was delighted to be reunited with Cortana.

He told her of the current situation and she suggested they invade the Covenant compound so she could raid their files and learn about the locusts.

Master Chief needed to get Cortana close to the Prophet Of Regret's computer systems but he wasn't sure how he was going to get close by himself. He needed to discuss a strategy with Adam Strange for a means to get behind enemy lines.

Akuma saw Mister Fixit fighting a White Martian. He gave Mister Fixit an unexpected cheap shot from behind which stunned the Grey Hulk temporarily.

Akuma then began fighting the White Martian.
