shamilton - i really like your deck with those changes, very nice... was there really a need for that many 5 drops though?
thanks. You'll note the complete lack of 6 drops. Scarecrow is a great 5 drop for the deck, tho, if the opponent didn't have too many cards in hand at my recruit on 5, or I lacked a way to get a bunch of cards into his hand, then often hawkeye was a better drop, alowing me to oneway his larger characters with his leader ability. Then, scarecrow on 6 with his boost is a great play.
So is 7 5 drops too many when they are also your 6 drops? Not in my book - esp as 4-6 are such critical turns.
And one last warning - If you play this deck you run the risk of having things your playgroup develop an extreme dislike for all things Lex. He's that good.
wow, i can't believe i posted that, i just remembered the only six drop that i ran in my ig deck besides a boosted scarecrow was 1x gorilla grodd. wow, i can't believe i even asked you a question. i am now banning myself from ever posting on here again...
I've posted 2 California Bay Area City Champ reports on my site if anyone is interested. The 10 decks I faced over the two days is a pretty interesting mix. And NO Quickfate!!
I was at the City Championship in Holmes, PA and there was a pretty diverse metagame. The following decks were in top 8:
Kree/VU
Legionnaires
Avengers
Checkmate/Hellboy
Good Guys
Quick Skeet
Checkmate
and I don't know the 8th, but I think it was avengers.
The tournament was really fun. There were 6 rounds, and after the swiss I ended up 4-2 running Kree/VU. In top 8 I played Steve Silverman and he scooped because I'm nice. Top 4 I played against PhilliesMan (Kellen) and his Checkmate/Hellboy deck. In the finals I played against Good Guys run by Taj, and he removed my Minerva from continunity turn 2, so that was game.
