I never actually read any stories with the Shine Family in them, but they were mentioned in one of those old style comics recaps - you know, that used to take up a page or two (or seven, in the case of Alpha Flight) in the beginning of an issue?

No, I just needed to toss out a guess, cause I just don't really know. The only school teacher I know of in the DC universe was/is Black Lightening. I just couldn't think of it till now.
So, there is my latest guess; Black Lightening.
