I understand that but there were a lot of games that the outcome was drastically affected by the BFC. I was involved in 2 - 1 in my favor, 1 not in my favor so that is 2 games alone that could have gone differently had either players had their veto available. I think it would be interesting to have that option after the reboot to have 1 in a season.
If we want to change that, let's here some discussion.
I actually really like that option for the league. It doesn't affect PbP game play. I've been clear about how I don't like TTPC for defense. Pausing the game, after every combat action, does affect PbP. But, yeah, I'd be in favor of BFC cancellation for next season.
I'm okay for the BFC cancel coming next season. We can go ahead and move ahead with the playoff game, then.

Okay, so a proposed rule change for next season- I've used it the most so I know it feels really broken- Remove the ID Cards.
My reasoning behind this is because I ran ID Cards for at least 5 games in this season, and every time the ID card came out, it didn't even feel close anymore. I suddenly had an extra person to use for an entire turn. I'm not even that good of a player, so I probably didn't take advantage of it as easily as other more competitive players here could. ID cards feel balanced in the overall game, maybe even weak, but when you remove resources, they definitely feel powerful, especially at the higher point games when using the extra action to summon them isn't such a big deal. The game already limits how many ID cards you can have- 1 per figure unless you're using a couple of figures that have a trait that boost the number of ID cards they count for. (Jarvis and the Quinjet come to mind.) I just feel that even 1 or 2 like I have been using for the past several games is just too strong- If anyone from my opponents that faced an ID card game wanted to weigh in, that'd be appreciated.
I do feel like the way we have to get them makes it difficult to get them, however it's another one of those items only a few teams can get access to- which makes them slightly unbalanced already before we consider how they work.
There are 45 total ID Cards, but I feel like the least balanced ones may be the SHIELD ones.

sounds good to me. We're already restricting resources, might as well do ID cards too. Too unbalanced for those that can access them and those that can't.

I don't feel like the ID card mechanic is unbalanced. To use it, you have to give a character that costs more points an action.
However, with the Themey aspect of the league, I agree that since only a few teams have access to them, they should probably be left out.
Well, look at my playoff rounds, to go with it. I regularly give She-Hulk an action, keeping her in the back to summon someone, like this time, Hawkeye, who is then used to pick off Scarlet Witch, taking the mystics damage and saving the rest of my team from that damage.
There's multiple instances where you use someone that makes it work- It's not an unbalanced mechanic completely, but it is unbalanced in the terms of the league.

My feelings are to take out the ID cards for now, since the cards really favor Marvel universe characters, and only specific characters associated with the Avengers or SHIELD.
If DC ever comes out with a Justice League or Batman database or ID cards, then sure, bring the cards back. (Why can't there be cards that represent Batman's contingency plans or the Batcave Computer's "files on everyone," anyways?) It doesn't look like we're getting a new resource from DC in World's Finest, though. It'll probably take another OP storyline event.

So, apparently I've been using ID cards wrong since the beginning. The problem of using an item you never played with in person.

I haven't been following your games recently, what were you doing wrong?
I am in favor of leaving them out since only 2 themes can have access to them and would be an unfair advantage. That brings me to constructs. They seem borderline. Teams using them have a slight improvment but not a complete advantage even though only green lanterns would be able to use that construct trait.

I was using them on characters that had action tokens.
Edit: Despite using them like that, I looked through all my games and only once did I ACTUALLY use it like that- Turn 8B of Game 8, which was the last turn of the game anyways. My Game 5 was fine and my Playoff round 1 was also fine. Game 6, 7, 1-4 I did not use ID cards.

Hi fellas! I have a question for next season if I may. If I select Apokolips would I have to draft or core the lowest point piece and then through the season upgrade to higher point pieces?
Example:
SMWW 019br Brutaal @ 100
SMWW g003p Brimstone @ 20 Can I start at a more playable 75pts
IO 043 Darkseid @ 141 Can 8 start at a higher point level?
UN 058 Big Barda @ 55 Can I start with 148 pt piece?
SM 056 Superman @ 162
Q, I believe you start with the lowest point versions of the characters in both your core and your draft. With your example, all your Apokalips folks must start at their lowest point costs, including Brimstone. Heck, all the new colossals start at the 25 point cost.
