Me and Glen are working on an article for it, as it's kinda the Realms' own personal venue. Feel free to ask any of the leaguers about it. It's good times

Wouldn't us newbies be at a disadvantage since you guys have all drafted your team pieces already? I was wondering about that the other day.
Each season everyone has to redraft except for their core.
Their core is comprised of 2-3 figures that make up their "theme" (mine is Legion of Doom, hence my core is Luthor, Cold, and Sinestro).
I will spend the rest of the draft trying to fill in my team...and drafting figures that I want/need/like (for instance, Riddler, Grundy, Cheetah, Toyman, Manta...etc etc).
If someone else takes them, then I am out of luck (like someone took Grodd...I think it was the Sinestro Corps...)

Not really, for example. I came in during Season 3 (last season before the reboot) and there were a ton of decent pieces still available. I ended up using the Shi'ar Empire, went 5-1 regular season and 1-1 in the playoffs.
As is, FLE (League 2) is only on season 2 so there's a lot you can deal with there. Also there are less players than league 1. so probably more options. Just keep in mind that most of the best utility pieces are taken and build around it.
If you let them kill your dreams, it'll haunt you.

You took Sinestro. You can have Grodd if you want him.
**And I only have the "Justice" LE with the Yellow Ring***
If I were to be interested in trying the Fantasy League, what would be the first step?
There are currently two leagues. The FLE (governed by myself and Gleny Q), and the HCFL.
You join up at the start of a new season. HCFL probably has another 4 months until the start of a new Season. The FLE however, has a Superbowl going on, so we'll be working on the new Season in a few weeks.
The first step to joining the FLE, would be to send a dice roll of 1d1000 to [email protected]. This will determine what position you would draft your core.
Also, just asking on the thread will answer 99% of any questions you could have. We're a very helpful group

Remember to include you HCRealms name in the 1d1000 roll.
Basically, the rules are pretty simple once you get into it. The first step would be to decide upon a 'core' of figures. The rules of the core are:
1. Has to be 100% thematic.
2. 200 points of figures.
3. At least two figures, no pogs.
And that kinda determines the rest of your draft. It's alignment specific, so if you choose heroes, you can't draft any villains (unless it's thematic, like say Magneto on an X-Men team from the 80's). Drafting theme gets you point bonuses, based on the cost.
