Wow! My wallet is going to take a decent hit this year. That's a lot of Clix to buy in one year. I prefer a longer buffer between sets, so I can save money for the next and complete the previous one. Three months between Web of Spiderman and the DC 75th Anniversary set is a bit soon for my taste. I hope that the DC 75th set is a celebration of all characters over the years and not primarily all Golden Age characters. Since it is featuring characters from the WLC, it looks like it may be a nice mix.
Two full expansions, which follow the standard alternation. (See previous post.)
One starter, which follows the standard alternation. (Danger Room/Legion/Fantastic Four/Blackest Night)
That leaves the Watchmen collector's set and the Brightest Day "thing without fiddly bits."
So yes, it is odd that we don't get any secondary product from Marvel this year.
But what you would you have WizKids do? Hold back the DC products just because they didn't have an agreement with Marvel for their own secondary product?
-J
Nope, and I think that NECA seems to be putting out some interesting product. Just saying that it would have been great if one of the little sets were Marvel... or even Indy. And no, Watchmen is not Indy, it was released by DC. Not their main universe of products, but still DC.
On balance, I'm:
Excited about the new marvel set
Thankful that we have a boatload of new product this year
Neutral about Watchmen, but happy for the bunches and bunches of Clix players who wanted them desperately, and thought they wouldn't exist
Over-saturated with Lantern stuff. Worthy of a set? For sure. This seems like overkill, tho. Still, would much rather have all this lantern stuff, as opposed to nothin'.
Haven't seen anyone posting details of their Black Hand fig from the show floor, so here you go: an image from he one I've been playing with (heh - you guys really want a photo of my desk right now), the card and dial.
April '10 - The Brave & The Bold Takes a further dive with the apparent announcement of Black Hand and Nekron chases. May '10 - Blackest Night Starter Still looking very promising. July '10 - The Watchmen 25 Figure Collector Set Watching for more details, including any pics of actual production pieces. August '10 - Web of the Spiderman I'm up for that as a central theme, along with all of the other could-be-anything pieces. I'm a bit disappointed to see the first sculpt previewed be an Iron Man/War Machine Duo, wasting two characters and sculpts on a single dial. What a shame. October '10 - Brightest Day (7 Figures - Like starter but no fiddly bits) Too little info for me. November '10 - DC 75th Anniversary Set (featu...ring WLC) Again, too little info and too far off for me to care.
Rather light on the Marvel elements for me this year, but that's how these things can fall.
I'm hoping the Duo infection subsides.
Chase pieces remain disappointing from the concept on out.

I'd rather be over saturated with something they've never really given proper credit to in the first place.
We don't get a Green Lantern in every set, and when we do it's always a human Green Lantern (some of them reprinted a few times) and usually just ONE character (with the exception of Kilowog who does need a remake), the one time we did have Alien Green Lanterns offered to us was when you had to actually buy a brick of the product and not everyone got one, plus they are hard to find now and some a little underwhelming in todays environment.
I am glad to actually see the Green Lanterns and the other Lanterns get a little recognition for once!
It's not like we don't have plenty of Batman, Superman, IronMan, and Hulks running around.
I actually hope I can FINALLY field a competitive RESTRICTED Green Lantern Corps team!!! If I actually get enough lanterns in just a few sets for once.
I'm going to hit him really, really hard with a big green boxing glove............ I'm kidding. - Hal Jordan

Hey we didn't get a Hulk last set..... stop your whining lol.
The more Lanterns the better. I am near complete with my Sinestro Corps army, so the slow progress of Red-Black-and hopefully Orange is okay with me. Having my 4 favorite Corps in my collection will make me very happy.
"This is THE WORLD! Not that you would be able to see it or even feel it, since time has stopped..." Need Batman-family clix

This has been my lament for years and the bane of getting a Salaak figure made. I totally share your sentiment and am empathetic to your statements. I'm reeeeealy banking on BatB to give us a well-deserved Salaak figure since Green lantern's are all the rage right now.
Come on WizKids... don't be a bunch of pickleheads and make us a Salaak already!!!!

I notice you carefully avoided mentioning Wolverine there. He's only the most overexposed character in the history of media but still people can't get enough of him.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Or Maybe because we haven't had a 616 version since Sinister. I'm just sayin'

I actually left him out because in the modern age of heroclix all we have are zombie versions of the ol' canuckle head (and one old grey haired version that came with a sentinel). He DOES actually need a remake for once!
