Before we leave, I shall Examine the Woman in the Orange Jumpsuit in hopes of getting a better idea of just what it will take to beat her when we get back from wherever it is we're going to.
The group was told to head on out, and hurried to complete their business. Mr Stranger grabbed the wicked wrench, and with some trepidation, took the hat to give to Wade. Jawa checked out the woman in the jumpsuit, and beyond her obvious assets, he observed that her play style had consisted mostly of button mashing. Maybe a strategy could be found to overcome this. Sky opened his newly acquired jar and sniffed the contents. He immediately wished he hadn't. What sort of prize was pee in a jar? As they left, one of the group grabbed Pax's arm, who had been staring off into space for some time.
The building's main entrance was actually a large, golden elevator. This doesn't have any impact on the story, I just forgot to mention it before. As they ascended, the golden gates of the elevator afforded them a view of various other floors of the inventory, cluing them in on two things. One, it was very, very big, and two, it was very, very deep underground. It took some times before the elevator finally surfaced. A chime tolled, the doors opened, and after everyone departed, the elevator vanished back into the ground. Once the group got a look at their new surroundings, they realized how unusual it was that an elevator would appear here.
You find yourselves outside. It is night. To the north is an impassible mountain. To the east is an eight foot tall chain link gate. The lever to raise said gate is on the other side. To the west, directly behind you, is a small building jutting out of the mountain, it's door slightly ajar. To the south is a cast iron fence that meets the gate, and winds around a cemetery. The cemetery is in ruins. There are small fires burning in various places, often near scraps of scorched metal, and large red barrels. Dead bodies litter the cemetery, in varying degrees of completeness. A circular sawblade is embedded in a tree on the far side of the grave yard, while directly in front of the gate is a wrecked mausoleum, it's doors blasted apart.
The gate connects to the fence, which is the boundary of the cemetery.
Right now, you are boxed in by the fence, the gate, the mountain, and the building. If you get through the gate, or past the fence, you will be in the cemetery.
Using my new wrench, I will snip a hole large enough in the chain link fence so that I can stick my arm through and pull the lever.
(If the lever is too far, then I'll just snip a big enough hole for me to crawl through, then go press it). (Brains)
Mr Stranger takes his wrench to the gate, cutting a hole large enough for him to crawl through. He then pulls the lever, but finds that if he lets go, the gate will close again.
Wade grabs Pax and heaves him in the general direction of the fence. Lucky for Pax, the the fence is only about four feet high, so even though the throw didn't have much height, the force of the the throw sends him tumbling over it anyway. It isn't graceful, but it works.
Sky takes a moment to examine the graveyard. He takes note that in addition to surrounding the graveyard, the caste iron fence winds it's way through it as well, dividing it into three parts. He is also spots a crowbar close to the fence that had previously gone unnoticed. He reaches through the fence and grabs it. (Critical Success)
Pax picks himself off the ground and brushes himself off, then hurries over to the bodies to try and loot them. As he gets closer, there is a collective growl, as many of them drag themselves off he ground and begin lurching towards him. They seem to have weird animals on their heads. Two of the bodies head toward Pax, while 3 notice Stranger and head towards him.
Space Jawa cautiously opens the door and peeks his head inside. It's nearly pitch black inside, but a squealing shriek causes him to recoil black creature the size of a catcher's mitt throws itself at his head. It barely misses him, and lands outside, rattling.
