"Well done. Now come my part," Dr. Voodoo says flying well into the field. "Dis is de most I can do...my part is over." With that, Voodoo fades away into the mist. Hela replaces him.

"I know thou art a being of power, Phantom Stranger," Hela says, "Well would Hel be with thou in it."

"It will never happen, Asgardian," he replies.

"No?" she asks turning away and then turning back and aiming at him. Asgardian magic and his own enigmatic powers battle for a brief moment. But the Phantom Stranger is weak and not truly made for battle and as he faces fronts from the Scarlet Witch and Forge as well the outcome is never truly in doubt.

"Farewell Stranger, thou wert given a chance."

Before Phantom Stranger is officially out, he gets a Shape Change roll. (He's had it all along and I don't think either of us noticed it.) Gets 1. Okay, he's out.

Traited Shape Change may have me reassess Phantom Stranger's worth a little. Even with that, still not quite convinced he's worth 200 points. Not to say I won't still play him from time to time. Probably better for the points than the old version.

Circe on Black Knight, Zatanna Perplexing her Damage to 4. AV10 on DV16, gets 10. Hela can PC, makes it 6. 3 to the Knight after Toughness.

Zatanna takes a token from Blood to up her Range to 7, attacks Knight. AV10 on DV15 +1. Gets 7. He's KOd.

Enchantress to Regen. Rolls 1, nothing.

I've been looking for an opening to play Solomon Grundy, the new one. Auto Regen on him. I choose to give him Outwit(? - I know some reincarnations are less brutish than others, but I'm surprised they used Outwit to represent that. But okay.)

He Outwits Hela's Impervious and Charges to H15 to attack her, AV11 on DV17. Gets 5. Circe PCs and he gets 3. Not the best debut.

Nightshade to I16 to block Black Knight's replacement and she Smoke Clouds. (Note that Hela could potentially take Damage from being in the cloud at the start of my next turn.)

"Blessing or curse, it is not a benefit that this Black Knight has," Circe said, "but I will be merciful." With a magical gesture, the Black Knight transformed into a swine and ran off squealing.

"That's one of these brutes down," Circe said, taking out one of the Mindless Ones with obvious strain.

"And I've got this one," Jim Rook said. "You take on one of the Shadowpact, you take on us all." Tough Nightmaster's sword was enchanted to deal with magical threats, the impervious hides of the Mindless One proved to be proof against even his weapon.

We haven't discussed ATAs and feats, we usually use ata like feats. I don't think we should do both but I'm open. I can see a lot of playing both together in the future if that happens.

Nightmaster sizzles as Nightmare attacks.

"Shadowpact? How uninspiring," Nightmare muses.

Normally I'd do an ATA or a feat, but this was exceptional. I didn't save the PM, but when we were getting this game started, you expressed concern that figures like Dormammu and Scarlet Witch would give you too much of an advantage, and I proposed allowing the Shadowpact figures to get to use their ATA as a freebie along with a feat as a balance to that. Come to think of it, I don't remember whether you ever approved or acknowledged the suggestion, and I can't go back and check it now. Of course that was before we discovered Shimmer was going to be such a star. And I think I'm pretty close to out of Shadowpact at this point anyway.

I don't know that I've ever gotten good use out of Nightmaster.

Grundy Outwits Hela's Super Senses and attacks her. Takes 2 tokens from Blood to make his AV12 on DV17 +1. Gets 8. Wanda makes it 10. Surprisingly, that's a hit and a KO for Hela. Grundy gets 2 actions for that, with her SP

"You disintegrated her!" Empress said.

"No, she was just dispelled back to her own dimension," Zatanna explained, "now watch out for that Mindless One!"

"Him?" Empress asked. "My magical powers are supplemented by fighting skills. He doesn't worry me much." Mystically finding his weak points, Empress struck and struck again until the brutish Mindless One went down.

"I am impressed," Zatanna said, despite herself.

Hela didn't impress me but I think I'd need to try her again for a fairer assessment.

I need an outwitter and as much as I want to play Diablo he's not as useful as Shaman. I'll pick the AW vet with dissent. Druid sends him to L9.
