We'll probably be waiting a lot longer than that; the next novels all take place in the regular 3136 or thereabouts timeframe that everything else is in. The epilogues of SYD weren't a permanent jump ahead.
Annoying, isn't it, knowing the ending but not the in-between ;).
A bit like the novel itself, since we know the ending to 1 of the 3 storylines near the beginning of the book, another in the middle. For the Kwamashu storyline, especially, the 'backwards through history' way of telling the story made it more of a cliffhanger.
Does anyone have any theories as to the importance of Callison? The novel said they were supposed to secure engine parts. Either the engine parts were incredibly special, or there is something else on Callison that is vital for the Republic to secure, but Pardoe never said outright what was there like he did on Kwamashu and Ryde.
My guess is that the WoB or some other group hid Jumpship engines that could allow a ship to jump much farther than the average Kearny-Fuchida drive.
I think it was meant to be some sort of safe haven, for the Republic operatives outside Fortress. That's what the Ghost Knight who eventually became Governor alluded to.
You know, there's a quote from 'When Harry met Sally', when Harry says he reads the back of a book first, so that if he dies, at least he knows the ending ;).
I don't subscribe to that train of thought, but I can see why.......
Dang, rooster. This bit of Sanskrit knowledge impressed even me - and I've taken classes in Hebrew, Greek, and Spanish.
Eh, don't be impressed. Though I have taken a class or two in Sanskrit, in this case I learned the meaning of Preta from everyone's friend, Wikipedia. ;)
SYD this my favorite book of the mwda set wolfhunters second , with ghostwar coming third now.
i thought the Fidelis would be the bottle babbies dna that was collected by the wolf's dragoons during the twighlight of the clans 8 book set during operation clan serpent.or some starleague descendents that were isolated on some forgotten research planet in the middle of nowhere. i was really surprised to see that the Fidelis were the clan smoke jaguar.
questions : is there to be novels in that are set during and to the end of the fortress conflict? besides this one ?
did the hpg's ever get replaced / fixed?
what happens with the wob or the current comstar? during fortress republic?
do the fidelis take them out ?
any other novels about what the other knights and pallies are doing at the same time ?
can i get my book signed ?
what is the schedule of release for the next books/novels for mwda?

Just finished book ,and I really did get into it. By the way alot of you know "Fidelis" actually means Faithful ,but True is close enough. Well intersesting to see what this will mean to the future of BT/MW after they fill in the "up to events".
What does everyone think are the "essential" MW novels?
I recently started reading the MW books again with Target of Opportunity and not having read MW fiction since the 3rd novel. Any guidance as to what I should read next is greatly appreciated.
