One of the required characters is always the one who is essential in the release PvE. Since recent releases are featured heavily as essential characters it's not that strange one gets repeated occassionally.
I really was not paying attention to stuff.
First, I had not noticed that the CL9 T10 4* was Ham.
I have been hammered the past couple of days. Got a late start into TAT, and even then it was a 450ish starting position.
I had no time to work on my final run for Reunions until there was about 1.25 hours left, and I was down to 550.
I made my run (Medusa, Carnage, Lockjaw) and got to 909 untouched. I decided to go for one more shot before shielding and nabbed another 41 points for a 950. I immediately hit the 3 hour shield and then noticed I was at #11, so took a peek ate the scores above me and at the prize.
I didn’t need much to crack t10. I think 29 points would have gotten me to 7th, but I could not find an easy team for that much.
I broke my shield and hopped in against a Medusa/something/SWitch listed as 19 points. Took them out quickly and found myself sitting in 8th. I crossed my fingers and shielded out with like 25-30 minutes to go.
It held.
Things timed out well, too. I went over and started to hit my final clears in TAT and then got a pop-up with five 0 point shielded losses.
Anyway, so I nabbed a Ham cover for all of that. While I am not generally going out of my way to hunt down Ham covers, the wasted HP was worth it.
Going to cash things in the next thing I realized I had neglected to pay close enough attention to was the cover I needed for Ham. I was thinking mine was 5/2/5, but he was 2/5/5, and the cover I got completed him. So now I have him champed going into Porcine of Interest.
I just have to settle on the configuration I want for him. I am thinking ?/?/5 is the best place to start, but 3/5/5, 4/4/5, and, 5/3/5 all seem viable.

I used my Taco Tokens to get that last cover I needed (took 44 tokens). That champed Ham and, apparently, I had 2 saved covers, which was a nice surprise. I ultimately config'd to 4/4/5 as neither of the top 2 powers seemed to need a 5.
My playing has been very sporadic this week. I'm finding Reunions a slog. I like the idea of a more limited choice of characters, but for f'sake, Medusa on every team means a lot of health packs. I'm currently #66 with 365 points (10 wins) and 8.5 hours to go. My plan is to play through lunch and see where I get.
TAT, otoh, has been a almost complete wasteland. I did 4 clears of sub 1, I think I opened sub 2 and played a few nodes, but not everything. I'm in sub 3 now and I've made my peace that the full progression is out of reach. I'm planning to play enough to get the 4* cover and call it a slump.

I found that running my own Medusa with Carnage virtually eliminated the need for health packs. I would take a bit of damage in the first couple of matches, but after that, while I began the match hurt, it wasn’t long before everyone was at or near full health. So any health lost would just be “repost” so to speak.

So talk me through gameplay of the team. I'm seeing color priority being:
1 - Purple, so as to use Medusa's board shake/tile flip
2 - Red, to fire off Carnage's power (at the 10AP level)
3 - Green, but for Lockjaw or for Carnage?
4 - Blue, and then using Lockjaw's blue when it's useful
5 - Yellow, but only because it does more damage than black
That about right? Are you waiting on anything in particular to fire off any other powers?
In a mirror match, would your target priority be Medusa, Lockjaw, Carnage?

Pretty much just going for purple first for the reason stated.
Everything else was pretty much secondary, though I suppose I would go for green first for LJ, then blue, then red.
As you said, pretty much every team had a Medusa, so I'd target her first. I'd match as many of their fists as I could to help generate purple (or other) AP as fast as possible. I'd avoid matching my own to reduce the possibility of them generating their own purple.
I didn't worry about the opposing Medusa getting the healing from this. Essentially, you are just biding your time until you can steal a ton of fisty tiles. At that point there is just a flood of damage that at the end of the turn which overwhelms her ability to heal.
If they have a Carnage of their own, I leave him to last.
If they have a Gamora, take her out asap after Medusa.
The kicker here is Lockjaw. Every time they match one of your specials, they get pinged for damage by LJ AND Medusa heals you.
Side note...did anyone else notice a bug with Medusa's Entanglement tile? For some reason if it gets destroyed by a match-4 it is triggering twice.
That holiday deal is getting pricey, but is oh so tempting.
Full cover runs of WortyCap, Juggs, and 2099 plus a bunch of other stuff.
$30 though.
Juggy makes me really want it since he's my go-to hitter in PVE right now.
I play him with Grockmora. Thanks to the Ebony Maw support, the only color that is not Juggy's is yellow, so 6 out of 7 matches fire off his extra damage. I'm guessing that's probably the most I'll ever manage....unless they release a new support (HA!) where you get a boost to both black and yellow damage.
Worthy, on the other hand, makes me nervous. The higher up he goes, the less likely he is to jump forward, take the hit, and generate his CDs, so not leveling him is possibly smart.
2099...kinda forgot he was even in the game.
I wish they did more for supports.
Also...curios to note that 1* Juggy's green does not activate Kitty's red CD tile.
