I read the whole 8 comic run waiting on the next series of it, but I picked up this book they have that just came out called Nemesis...I enjoyed it
Nemesis was pretty good. What can I say, I like Millar's stuff. From The Authority to The Ultimates to Old Man Logan - the guy is a good writer. McNiven is also one of my favorite artists. Guy ranks up there with Jim Lee, Frank Cho and Juim Cheung. Old Man Logan was the stuff that dreams are made of. If you haven't read it, you're really missing out.
Although, McNiven's art is a little different in Nemesis - a little rougher, looser. Good stuff, though.
I didn't go to Harvard or Yale but I can kick a man in the crotch as well as any other.

Old Man Logan was awesome. I've read that whole run but would love to read it again in a TPB with extra maps, bios, etc. of the world Millar created for that story.

Strangely, I didn't like All-Star Batman and Robin as much as All-Star Superman. I've read the first 5 or 6 issues of the current Batman and Robin book and liked it, though. Damian amuses me as Robin.

Dammit, I KNEW there was a reason I wanted to go to the comic store this past semester! Sonnuva...they'd better release this is paperback!

I like both, but the whole green lantern meet-up was awesome...
As much as I like Lee and Miller, I wasn't as satisfied with this book as I thought I was going to be. The meet-up with GL was pretty cool, but Batman was just a little too far over the edge. Miller needs to be reminded that Bats doesn't live in Sin City.

I don't see how they couldn't. The first 3 or 4 issues went into 3rd printings.

That, or DC needs to stop paying Miller to write Batman.
Seriously, after years of saying he would never write Batman again, ASB&R seemed more like a flipping of the bird to the fans and DC.
Suffice to say, I do not believe that ASB&R enhanced the Batman mythos, certainly not in the way that AS Superman did for Supe's mythos.

I always thought that Miller's ASB&R was ol' Frank simply being too full of himself and spiraling downward into a self-parody. Never crossed my mind that a lot of what was in that book was intentional. Heh, now I gotta look at those issues again in that perspective!
